While wandering around town today, I couldn't help but notice a lot of prominent posters advertising the new menswear collection from Benetton. Pay attention, gentlemen: apparently this is the cutting-edge look to aim for:

I knew someone who had a balaclava rather like that, with the peak, that his granny had knitted for him back in the 70's. He probably hadn't worn it since then either.

A solution for if you didn't get time to wash your hair before going out, but hilariously hideous otherwise. No wonder Benetton are in decline.

These modern balaclavas are horrible, but I must say, the 40s balaclava in the link is kind of cool. It hasn't got that horrible brim, & it looks kind of like a scuba suit, only not rubber. & the ear-flaps are just funny. :-)
