Sky. We need to talk. Sooner rather than later but I know things are crazy busy right now.

When you have a minute.

Everyone else, does anyone know if the ...bar ever existed is still standing?

[ooc: Since he lost his memories of the bar, he has no clue where it's located so he can't check himself. lol]

THIS IS NOW A ~QUICKLOG~ OF AWESOME redrobinhood November 8 2009, 05:54:27 UTC
[After his conversation with Sky in the marketplace, Ghost was restless, his mind filled with chaotic thoughts that whirled around in circles. How. How had he lost something that significant to his life?! A boyfriend?! A boyfriend that was just gone and Ghost couldn't even mourn for him--how could he grieve for a vacuum in his mind?

After spending some time walking around with Sky on his patrol, Ghost belatedly remembered his promise to Aurora to talk to him. He picked up his journal and reread their brief conversation several times before making a decision. He had to talk to him. He was the only one who could give him information honestly. Ghost didn't want someone to feel sorry for him. He just wanted a rational response to the mixed emotions that were overwhelming him. Someone to give him 10 months of his life back, straight up, no filters.

After checking in at the Housekeeping HQ for Aurora's whereabouts, Ghost found himself back in the residences looking for purple hair among the workers.]

Aurora? You around here somewhere?

Ghost, one moment.

[Aurora wasn't far away, having just left the home he'd finished working in. He locked the door, rattly the knob to make sure it was secure, and set the supplies he had been carrying off to the side before approaching.]

Did you finish your meeting with Sky?

Re: Quicklog~ redrobinhood November 8 2009, 06:10:49 UTC
Sure thing.

[Stupid lucky sods with their intact houses. Ghost had no idea how long he was going to be homeless.]

Yeah. Yeah I did. He was able to clear up something for me. A little.

[Crap. He still had no idea how to approach this.]

So I kinda wanted to continue our convo in person. You were saying something about the bar being important to Smoke...

[So awkward.]

...Would you say you and Smoke wer--are--close?

[Aurora frowned, looking concerned. Had they been fighting?]

Did you both resolve whatever the problem was?

And yes, Smoke opened the bar, so obviously it would be important to him. We're friends, close enough that he made a drink after me.

[He smiled slightly at the memory, touched still by it even thought he considered it a strange gesture. But something occurred to him, causing him to regard Ghost with slight suspicion.]

Are you jealous?

Resolve? Ah...sorta. I mean I think there's another--bigger--problem, but it has nothing to do with Sky really. He just answered a few questions for me.

R-right. [A drink? Whuuut. He's so not following--]

Wait-WHAT?! [BACKTRACK. REWIND. How'd THAT happen?]

No no, nothing like that!

[....Unless his relationship was really that bad?]

....Do you think I should be?

No, of course not. [And Aurora, clearly a little offended that Ghost would even think that, puffed up a bit, looking far too much like a pouting child than he ever intended.]

I have no intentions of initiating that kind of relationship with him, especially when he already has you for a lover. Is that what you wanted to talk with me about?

[Ok. When Aurora does that offended look, he looks a little like Blood when he refuses to give her any more cookies. Ghost can't help but relax a little.] Oh. Well. Good.

Right. I appreciate that, man. Really.

[But now he has to bring it up doesn't he? Man.]

No, that's not it at all. I--Look I dunno how to say this. I'm still wrapping my mind around it cause Sky just told me a few hours ago and I....haven't told anyone else cause I dunno how to break it to them you know? And you were being helpful for once and that was just weird, and you know you've pretty collected and calm guy under all that strange no-humor-whatsoever persona so--

[He frowns.] God I'm rambling. I'm turning into Bridge. [pause.] My point is...I can't remember Smoke.

[He looks utterly miserable. bawww.]

[It took Aurora a moment to digest everything Ghost had told him, and he tried to keep a neutral expression, he really did. But this was the sort of situation that he knew would cause the people close to him pain, even if he didn't know exactly how.]

It's not.. unprecedented. Crow forgot specific people when he returned. But. [And he takes a breath, trying to calm himself down.]

How could you forget him?

[Neutral expression was good! Really. It was...less comforting than Ghost thought it would be. But better than Sky's depressed face by a long shot.]

He did? Crap. He did. I forgot--I thought maybe--Alexi and Clé lost all their memories so I just...thought I was fine.

[Oh OUCH Aurora.]

I dunno. God, this means we were really close weren't we? It wasn't a fling or anythi--

[He bites his lip, hard. He tries to calm himself down before continuing.]

I dunno what to do, man. How do I tell everyone? What if he comes back?

Press button, recieve bacon- I mean advice. earth_uninstall November 8 2009, 07:28:19 UTC
[He had to wonder why Ghost was asking these questions; Aurora knew he wasn't know for having the most.. accommodating personality, and his knowledge of relationships was theoretical. It was only Ghost's earnestness and willingness to rectify the problem that stopped him from truly tearing into the man.]

Yes, he was- he is probably the most important person to you, or I would hope so.

[He paused, trying to gather together the right advice.]

When he comes back, you should.. You should probably be honest with him, since honesty is important in a relationship. But it would hurt him, so you would have to make it up to him afterward.

Unless, do you think you could pretend? Your acting skills are very poor, so it's highly likely he would notice..

Man if he's receiving advice from Aurora, he's in baaaaaad shape! redrobinhood November 8 2009, 07:39:28 UTC
[Well if Aurora thought highly of Smoke....actually Ghost was confused by that. He didn't quite remember when he started thinking of Aurora as someone to talk to civilly. After all the guy had decked his sister with a snowball once. ...huh.

But yeah, if Aurora liked Smoke then he must have been a good guy. Sky hadn't said anything bad either.]

I'm beginning to think he was yeah. I guess that's why the Sphere took him away.

[It was depressing but it was the only thing he could think of. He had pushed it, snooping around the library reading old journals and allying himself with Spade...the Tree had already tried to kill him once before, so now that it had gotten him of course it would try to make his life HELL.]

Honesty. Right. That doesn't...come as naturally to me as it does to you but--that makes sense. I'm not sure how to make it up though--when he comes back. It's gonna be painful you know? Not for me so much. Smoke's gonna really need his friends...

[Not that he knew who they were. But he could assume Aurora was one ( ... )

Seriously, yo. earth_uninstall November 8 2009, 07:56:05 UTC
Yes, I am getting the general idea.

The things that don't matter are rarely taken from us. [He agreed, thinking back to how they had lost Clé and Vanilla, and the fire that had ruined and killed so many. Even though he had returned, the memory of Bridge dying to protect them still hurt.]

If it is easier for me, then perhaps I should tell him. I wouldn't mind. And how can't it be painful for you? Even without our memories, we can sense when something is wrong or missing.

[He let the cursing slide, figuring Ghost's mental state made it excusable.]

Smoke is roughly 185 centimeters and fairly slim. His hair is red, his eyes are red, and he smokes. I suppose he would be considered attractive by most standards. He should iron his clothes more often.

I hate this place.

[It was probably a bad idea that Ghost was SERIOUSLY considering letting Aurora tell Smoke. He sure as hell didn't want to. But he needed to pull himself together! He wasn't a chicken!]

Thanks man, but no I should do it. It's just the right thing to do and...he might take it better? Or not but it's still my responsibility.

Hey maybe I'm just a tough guy? [yeah tough guy that looked like someone was slowly crushing his chest with a boulder.]

...I'm just saying it's worse for him. I'll...be ok.

[bawwwwwwwwwwww]

Red hair and eyes...woah. Smoker and hella taller than me. Geez. That can't be hard to find.

Iron? [He has to smile at that.] I sure as hell ain't doing that.

You're even sloppier than he is. [It's full of resignment, as if Aurora has accepted that not everyone would be as civilized as he'd like.]

Understood. But if you don't tell him within three days of his return, I will. [Ghost didn't really strike him as a coward, but he himself had admitted Aurora was more suitable for the job; it was best to have backup just in case Ghost found himself unable to complete the task.]

You have good muscle mass, so I would say that you're tough, but I don't see what physical strength has to do with the issue. He'll need your support emotionally. And if you can't find him, I will introduce you.

[He paused, mulling over something before continuing with a slightly hesitant tone.]

It's not hopeless, you know. [And as much as he hated to mention it, it was his only example.] Bastet and Range were fine when he had returned and had forgotten everything.

[heyyyy. He looks down at his really dirty newborn clothes]

It's not fair to judge a man by his newbie clothes.

Wow. Ah...ok. Deadline and everything. I can work with that.

[Being ordered around always felt annoyingly familiar anyways.

He laughs at Aurora's remarks about his HAWT GUNS.]

Damn right I do. [Flexxxx.] But yeah I meant emotionally. Thanks man.

[Woah. Aurora is getting deep. This was so weird.]

...Yeah I...well I wouldn't say Bastet and Range were fine but they do seem to be getting along and rebuilding what was lost. You think I should tell Bastet about him? I dunno if they knew each other or anything but she might be able to help him.

"Ghost why did you just take your shirt off" "I DON'T KNOW ;A;" earth_uninstall November 8 2009, 22:26:31 UTC
Why are you still wearing them? Did you lose your clothes in the fire?

[He nodded as Ghost accepted the deadline, more at ease now that there was a plan with protocol established. He didn't get what Ghost was laughing about, nor why he felt the need to flex, and chose to ignore it. At least he seemed to be in a better mood.]

Bastet would have better advice than me for this kind of situation. [Yeah, not even going to hide the hint of bitterness at that.] She could tell you the best way to proceed with regaining your relationship based on her own experiences.
