Our ballot-measure education-pamphlet thingies arrived in the mail a couple of days ago and I've been working through mine and making notes cause that's the kind of geek I am. The paid "Arguments in Favor" for Measure 43, our parental-notification law, were predictably intense and full of unintentionally hilarious signatures like "Uninformed Parent ( Read more... )

Oh, man... that is classic. Anyone who sneaks an elaborate Python reference into official voter information, under the guise of another Python reference, deserves a medal of some kind.

It'll be only a few years before you see him running as K. Phillips-Bong (Portland, Slightly-Silly Party.)

Isn't he great? He places several "in favor of" arguments in the election pamphlet every year, at $500 a pop. He really does deserve his own musical number.
