The next morning came faster than I thought. When I woke up, I was a bit disoriented to have the sun shining on me. I don’t remember my room being like this. It was then I remembered what happened yesterday. Junsu had offered me his room, he said he still had work and disappeared into one of the other room, I haven’t seen him after that.
I washed up, borrowing some of his stuff before making my way out of the room to search for food. Breakfast was already on the table when I went into the dining room. Junsu was sitting there having his breakfast, he give me a smile when he saw me. I smiled back and took a seat opposite him. I didn’t know what to say to him after what happened. He didn’t push and we ate our breakfast in silence.
The rest of the guys soon started streaming into Junsu’s apartment at the appointed time.
“So where are we holding the meeting?” asked Eunhyuk.
“Living room. More room.” Junsu said. The guys then arranged themselves on the available furniture in the room. I choose to sit in a chair away from the rest of them, not because I was angry with them but because I wanted to see their expressions.
“So where to start?” someone asked.
“I think an introduction would be good.” I said, looking at them.
“Jaejoong, you should know, he’s the witness we are protecting, and I’m Agent U-know, assigned to protect him.” Yunho said.
I’m agent Max, also assigned to help U-know protect Jaejoong.” Changmin said.
I’m agent Hyukjae and this is agent Sungmin, we are in charge of collecting information on the case.” Eunhyuk said.
“I’m agent Xiah, the officer in charge of this case.” Junsu said. After what happened yesterday, I had sort of prepared myself for this but it was still a shock to know that my boyfriend was the one in charge of the mission and I knew nothing about it.
“Wait, you said you know about my identity since the beginning, how?” I asked Junsu.
“I was the one who had been communicating with your supervisor Sergeant Kim all along about this case.” Junsu said.
“So he knows who you are?” I can’t believe my boss knows all this and I was not told.
“No. We never met, we only communicated through the phone so he doesn’t know who I am.” Junsu said.
“So what about Shiwon?”
“What about him?
“Is he one of the agents too?”
“No. He’s not an agent but he’s a doctor who treats us, agents.” I tried to take in all this information; it was giving me a big headache.
“So were you lying about everything to me?” I asked Junsu.
“Micky hyung, we weren’t lying about everything, if we did, there would be too many things to remember and sooner or later we would be caught in one of our own lies.” Changmin or more correctly Max said. I nodded in understanding since sometimes I feel like I’m caught in one of my own lies.
“Micky, you were lying to me too, but I understand that it is part of the job.” Junsu said so logically, my mind understands but my heart couldn’t accept that.
“So was making me fall in love with you part of the plan?” I asked, needing to know the answer.
“Of course not, did you really think that I would play around with someone’s feelings just for a case?” Junsu asked, his voice still emotionless but I could tell from his expression that I had hurt him with the question.
“So your feelings for me are true?” I asked again.
“Yes, how many times do I have to say it before you believe?” Junsu looked at me sadly, knowing that I was still in doubt about his feelings. I really want to believe him but something still holds me back. There were still too many things between us.
"Micky hyung, of course, he even..." Changmin said but he didn't continue as Junsu gave him such a cold look that he stopped his sentence and looked away.
“Fine. Let’s just forget about it then.” Junsu said as he turned away from me. I couldn’t believe my ears, was he just going to give up on us? I can’t allow that to happen.
“NO.” I grabbed his hands to get his attention.
“Micky, what do you want me to do?” I know he was getting frustrated.
“Kiss me.”
“What? Come again?” He was surprised, I was too after I said that, I had forgotten that the rest of the guys were still with us, watching our every move.

“Don’t even think about eavesdropping if you value your life.” He stared at each of them.

I think the guys know everything was good between us again when we came out of the room. We were holding hands and I was grinning like a fool plus the fact that our lips were swollen told them the story. We sat down together to focus on the case again.
“So what did you found out about the car plate number?” Junsu asked Sungmin who had been tasked to find out about that.
“Ok. The car was traced to a Mr Jang Min Hoon who belongs to the Korean Green Dragon gang which have been said to be closely linked to Mr Kim Soo Jung.”
“So this fits in with what Brian had told us.”
“What, he’s an agent too?” I asked in surprise.
“Yes, I thought it was obvious?” Eunhyuk asked in disbelief.
“So was the fight real too or was that just a test?”
“Oh, yes, Brian hyung had been after Junsu hyung for some time already.” Changmin said, much to the embarrassment of Junsu who was blushing.
“Don’t mind what he said.” Junsu told me.
“Ok, so what did he say?” I asked, bringing our focus back to the case.
“Ok. The latest news is that Mr Kim Soo Jung; the leader of the Red Dragon gang in Chicago had been arrested by Interpol for organized crime. He is also linked to the death of Columbian Jochiam Barkholtz who was involved in drug trafficking. Since his arrest, we can be sure that the Columbian side will not be looking for Jaejoong anymore since the police caught the guy who killed their guy. However in this case, the Korean side would be the one who would have more reason to make sure that Jaejoong can’t testify against Mr Kim Soo Jung since he’s our key witness. They will double their efforts to do so since the trial date for Mr Kim’s case had been set for 2 weeks later.” Junsu said. My mind was boggling with all the information.
“So that means we would have to make sure that Jaejoong get through this two weeks before the trial?” Yunho said.
“Yes. We believed that there would be more attempts on his life these 2 weeks but he would still be safer here than back in the US.” Junsu said.
“As long as we are able to keep him safe these two weeks, everything will be alright.” Everyone nodded, understanding the situation.
“However, I am concerned on how they found out that Jaejoong was in this university and where to look for him?” Junsu said.
“The information was top secret and no one knows how he looks like though they might know his name. I believed that there might be a leak somewhere.”
“Xiah, are you saying that there is a spy among us?” Yunho asked.
“No. I believed you guys, if not I wouldn’t have chosen you guys for the case.” The rest of the guys slowly turned their heads to look at me.
“Why are you looking at me like that? I would never do that.” I answered, not really pleased that they would think that of me.
“Micky, we are not saying that you are the one but could anyone from your side have leaked this information out?” Junsu asked.
“But I thought you already know everything about us?”
“No. Not everything.”
“Maybe his place was bugged?” Changmin suggested. That was a possibility that I had not thought about.
“That’s possible.”
“We might have to go over his place first.”
“Max, why don’t you bring some of your stuff to check his place?” Junsu said.
“But wouldn’t it be too obvious if I go over to his place? Shouldn’t you be the one to go since you’re the boyfriend?” Changmin countered.
“Why would I be the obvious choice since they don’t know about our relationship?” Junsu replied. He had a point. I hadn’t told anyone about our relationship yet.
“I think it’s better that the both of you go so no one will be suspicious. Classmates going to each other places to study wouldn’t arouse so much suspicion. If only one of you go, it would be more obvious that there’s something more and we don’t want them to know about your relationship yet.” Yunho reasoned. We couldn’t find fault with that reasoning.
“Will you be all right?” Junsu asked Yunho.
“Don’t worry. Eunhyuk and Sungmin are around, with the three of us, I don’t think they can get to Jaejoong.”
Having said that, Changmin and Junsu went to get ready the things needed to go over my place. It was funny that they have never been to my place for the few months that we have known each other. I think I’m in the same position as Junsu, not trusting them so I never allowed them to come over to my place, always giving some sort of excuse and they never pushed.
We went to my place and the two of them set to work immediately.
“Guys, do you want anything to drink?” I asked them.
“Some snacks to go along would be even better.” Changmin said as he went into one room after another with his device which would pick up signals from any listening device. Junsu was doing the same.
Suddenly, Changmin popped out from my bedroom to beckon Junsu who was in the living room, running the device over the items in the room. I followed them into my room. A tiny listening device had been installed in my room, under my bed. I was angry and wanted to rant but was quickly stopped by Junsu who put his hand over my mouth, shaking his head. I understood, I couldn’t say anything, this might alert them that I known about the bug. They found another one in the living room, inside the lamp. After that, I followed the guys back to Junsu’s place since my place was not really a good place to talk.
“So my place is bugged. What do I do now?” I asked them.
“Nothing. You don’t want them to know that we’re onto them already.” Junsu said.
“Micky, try to recall who are the ones who have access to your place?” Junsu asked.
“I think it should be a recent thing.” Changmin said.
“Micky, can you recall anything special that happened recently?”
“You mean to the case?”
“Yes, anything.”
“Yuri came on to the team to support me for the case, she came over to my place to talk about things.” I said.
“Why was there a need to have a extra officer on the case?” Junsu asked, thinking deeply, his brows frowning together.
“She volunteered.”
“We might need to check up more on her background.” Junsu said as he turned to Sungmin.
“Wait, Junsu, you knew about Yuri?” I asked in astonishment.
“Yes, why did you think I forgive you that easily?” Junsu answered. It seems like my boyfriend is always one step ahead of me.
“Are you staying over tonight?” he asked, when I didn’t make any move to leave his place after the rest of the guys had left.
“Can I?” I don’t really want to go back to my place since I found out that it was bugged.
“Wouldn’t it be too obvious if you don’t go back? I expect your boss need a report from you too.” Junsu said. Why does he always have to be the reasonable one? I sighed. He smiled at my disappointment, before pulling me into his arms and kissing me passionately. I was breathless when we broke apart.
“That should be enough for you to think about tonight.” He teased, pushing me to the door.
“See you in school tomorrow.” Damn the guy for knowing me so well.
