Back to the Grind

Jan 03, 2012 08:35

Alright, so my winter break is over. Sad as it may be, I need a bit of a wake-up call as-it-were to get myself back on track to wherever I'm going in this world. What better way to do than to get myself back into work?

What I've Done This Break:
  1. One and a half season of The West Wing. Two more discs going out today that need to be returned to ( Read more... )

video games, real life, work, fandom: the west wing

I'd love a cup of Earl Grey tea right now.... Anyway, I hope you continue to enjoy your return to work.

I have enough hot water for another cup if you'd like. And plenty of tea bags as well (no loose leaf at work unfortunately).

Oh, and boss quote for the next three months: "Regardless, the next three weeks are going to be insane." Sounds like I'll fit right in! :P

Ooh, yes please! Tea bags are fine (less chance of me gagging on tea leaves... Sorry TMI).

Ha ha ha! It also sounds like I need to find a seat there. Except I'd be bringing eccentricity, obviously. ;) You do believe me, eh?

Sorry hun, but there's only enough eccentricity for me. I wouldn't want to drive my co-worker crazy now would I? :)

I'm sure I'll let you know all the details of the craziness of work that will soon be upon me. Oh, and apparently next Monday I can't be dead due to staff shortages in the afternoon. Should probably go let the Grim Reaper know....

I just finished the Season 2 episode "Shibboleth" (with the Chinese immigrants and the Thanksgiving Turkey). I should get my new DVDs before I visit family this weekend. I have yet to watch an episode I actually don't like, although some are betters than others.

I ♥ this show! :D

(And I waited this long to reply so I could at least have ONE West Wing icon. lol)

it's weird that you're such a fan of tea and I'm not, it really ought to be the other way around didn't it?

so, is work still good, or are you sick of it yet? lol

Well, I don't like coffee, and having soda that early in the morning is sort of foolish, making tea my only other option really. Tried out hot chocolate for a while but moved to tea to help the calorie count. And I don't hold it against you. :)

Work is holding its own so far. Not sure how I'm managing it' Must be crazy. Wait, we already knew that. ;)

oh my day simply can't start without at least one coffee, lol, although you'll get no arguments from me about the occasional hot chocolate either.

WAKE UP!!! is that a good enough wake up call? LOL

It sounds like your break was relaxing and nice and that is all you can ask of a vacation.

Good for you for calling your dad and yeah the thought does count.

Enjoy your return to the grind.

Hugs

I'm awake! No need to shout... :)

Very true. And it was just long enough for me to get bored and pseudo-want to be back at work. Can't appreciate time off without having responsibiliies.

...Nah, enough of the grind. I want my home back!

*hugs*

The nice thing about home is that it is always waiting for you, all you have to do is place a key in a lock and it is there to welcome you whispering welcome home.

I MISSED YOU TOO!!!! *HUGS* Heard the good news though. :)

Eh, not much of an update and work got a little bizarre, which is to be expected. The cup of Earl Grey, however, did wonders. Nice and soothing, particularly on a very cold day (or a hot office).

...What in the world is Mr. Buble?

*HUGS*

:D Thank you so much for the virtual gift - it's been kinda rough, so it's wonderful to hear people who are actually happy for us :D :D :D

I'm glad that the Earl Grey did its trick and Mr. Buble is because of Michael Buble, which last.fm says you were listening to when you finished your post lol Sorry :P
