I actually learned by doing, including fixing my old laptop that I "destroyed" by spilling orange soda all over the keyboard one day. Since I had another computer (which I built myself; really not so hard), I took the whole thing apart, cleaned it off with alcohol, let it dry, and pieced it back together. Sure I have a dozen "extra" screws I can't figure out where they go in said laptop, but it works like a charm, particularly for being seven years old now. (Wow! I didn't know Marcus was that old!)

Miracle Day is...well, are you up to BBC's ep or the US's ep? I found episode 5 to be a turning point for me and now I'm not so sure I like it as much as I thought I had.

I'm glad you're feeling better! And your GPU is very pretty! I am jealous that you have a coworker that watches Who, I am not really friendly with any of my co-workers.

Have you seen V for Vendetta? Natalie Portman is also hot in that, though it is also disturbing.

Yeah, you might want to wait for Six until you're in a better mood. If it helps any, I think of Six as kind of of a ruder, more oblivious version of Ten. ;)

(Castrovalva arrived! I haqve promised myself I wouldn't watch it though until I watch/return that Four disc that's been sitting on my TV for 5 months)

My GPU is very pretty! :D It has green LEDs on it, which rather clash with my normal blue lights in my computer case, but I can live with it if it keeps my temps low. Playing video games when it was 90 degrees out got scary for my poor computer!

Of course I've seen V for Vendetta! What are you, mental? I own it...twice! Blu-Ray is amazing though...maybe a re-watch tonight. The comic is also good too, if you've ever read it.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle Six any time soon. He does sound like he's got the ego of all Eleven Doctors combined, which is saying something, but maybe one day I'll warm up to him. If anything, I'll head back to Four (or maybe three) or forward to Seven (I hear he's calming).

(OMG! Have you seen it yet?! I want to know what you think of it! :D)

so, does that mean you do, or don't, recommend Black Swan?

As for Raxacoricofallapatorius, what do you mean you have to practise pronouncing it? you haven't already? shame on you, lol

I'd recommend Black Swan if you enjoy psychological thrillers. Nothing like the Saw series (which just turned into torture!porn after the second one; I thought the first one was amazing), and it was a tad easy to guess half-way through the movie, but a good like inside someone's mind and their spiral towards madness. Contrary to popular belief, it really wasn't too gruesome at all. A few moments here and there that had me squirming but that was it.

I have, I just am out of practice! And, excuse me, but I haven't gone over to the CE side of the Whoniverse, like someone I know. *ahem* Series 1 just isn't a series I watch a lot of. ;)

I gave up on the Saw series halfway through the 3rd one, it had lost something, and replaced it with gore.

I prefer something a little less gory, so yes I probably will give Black Swan a go, thanks.

As for my DW leanings, you know very well I'm as much in love with Ten, as I am with Nine, and will happily lust after both DT and CE, just.....keep Eleven away from me for gods sake, lol

The end of the third Saw 3 was actually pretty good, made me wonder like the first one, but it was really hard to get through. I saw it in the theaters with me friend and actually had to bend down so my head was lower than my heart because of dizziness. Not so much fun and rather embarrassing a theater!

Yeah, try Black Swan. Much less gore and more psychological. Plus, Portman did most of her dancing and spent six months training for hours each day. Crazy.

I remember when it was just DT that did it for you. Ah, the good ol' days. LOL.

Ugh, Eleven. I'm almost 99% positive he is no Doctor at all. No Doctor would do what he did this past series (so far); the worst the Classic ones did was leave a companion stranded although never on purpose (iirc)! Jeez! (And some people say RTD was more sexist than Moffat. Whatever.)
