How can TV Tropes make something so seriously funny that I keep laughing at it? No, seriously, this description of wank in Doctor Who fandom is so horrible that I can't help myself myself from laughing! It's hilarious!

I read this TV Trope before it was updated after S5, i.e. before the Amy addition. [My reaction was "Berk!" btw]

I'm just glad I missed out on all the bitch fights they refer to. I haven't completely missed out on bitch fights, but that's a different matter, since I don't ship Doctor/Rose *dodges bullets*. As long as you enjoy what you do, who gives a stuff? Well I for one don't. :)

Oh, now I'm curious. Maybe Google Cache or Internet Archives will help me find a previous version of this little tidbit. Of course, they haven't truly updated it to Series 6, Part 1 yet either.

I don't give a stuff what you ship (what an interesting turn of phrase), and, frankly, no one should. Then again, if we didn't fight about who we ship what the hell else would we fight about? Fandom, in a sense, is all about teenage drama. What a pity.

LOL. I keep thinking that shippers should now be a recurring villain that the Doctor can't destroy. Kinda like Davros. Y'know he's coming back...they always come back.

Sometimes it's hard to figure out the "more rabid variety" from those that will be gentle and turn the other way. I've heard that Martha shippers, as said oh so gently above, are crazy. They scare me... *looks around*

I think I've been lucky, in that most of the nutters lovely people on my f-list, and in the comms I do visit, are fairly open minded, and tolerant towards other peoples ships, even if they don't agree.

Having said that though, I know from one of my f-list that some shippers can be very nasty, even amongst themselves.

I'm not sure I know any Martha shippers though, but then I don't read much Martha/anyone so I've never really sought out any comms etc

Yeah, some shippers can be nasty, but I've toughened my skin a lot by actually reading what the rapid shippers have to say. In a way, you get information on how not to go about things when you write. Rather strange.

I don't know any Martha shippers either, nor really looked at any of their comms before, so I don't know them at all. I keep toying in my head of a Ten/Martha, implied Ten/Rose smut fic where, like any "regular" bloke, Ten uses Martha as a rebound but I figure it wouldn't go over well, um, practically anywhere. lol. It's safely locked away in my brain.
