I Always Have Two Birthdays

Jul 18, 2011 17:52

My goodness, it feels like it's been a while since I've actually written anything of substance on here. Eek. In my defense, it's hot, I'm on vacation, I visited family this weekend, and I'm working on this sickeningly fluffy piece (again). Can Five really be fluffy? Romantic even? I'm not really sure but it seems like the plot bunnies are sure to ( Read more... )

Awesome! Sounds like a very relaxing vacation!!!

(And no, I don't think there's any such thing as too fluffy!) =)

It's been a pretty awesome vacation, and even if I have to go back to work before I really want (isn't that always the case?) I'm pretty happy with how things have gone so far. Plus, no construction so far this week! :)

(You sure about that? It's starting to make me worry if this hot weather is turning me into a pile of sappy goo! :P)

It sounds like you've had the perfect vacation. I'm so happy for you. That cake sounds sooooooooo yummy! Lucky you! I hope the last of Five goes well for you. I've missed our chats, but I won't be about much until later this week due to MIL being here. OH, and ps hubby and I had a chat about the money thing . Thanks for your encouragement because things seem better now. He made some big changes to the banks stuff and we've implemented the slush fund idea soooo all is well now.

Mostly perfect. :)

The story is pretty much finished, although I'm not entirely happy with it, and might be put on hold for an emergency fic post.

I know you're busy so don't worry about it. And I'm glad you got a "slush" fun because, sometimes, the best way to brighten up a day is just to go out and give yourself a little something. Retail therapy is as good as any!

I'm glad it helped. *hugs*

Wow! I've never met someone who has an un-birthday before!! I'm glad it was a good day. :) (did you save us any cake?)

You can have some of our cooler weather if you like; it's overcast at the moment. No storm though, you'll be pleased to know, but it rained yesterday again.

Work? What's work btw? Hubby says I'm on permanent holiday you see.... I often use the term 'semi-retired', otherwise I'd have to be more honest and say 'buggered'.

*hugs*

Um...I ate the cake. Can I just say that it was very, very good? ;)

Gods, I'd love some of that lovely weather you always seem to have across the pond. Honestly, you have it best over there, imho. I could deal with overcast skies right now, or a bit of rain. AT least it's only 80F and slightly humid. And I'm out of the sun. That helps too.

I must keep reminding myself that work pays all of these damn bills, or rather my electricity and internet (screw the housing), because otherwise I'd be off and about doing...things. Oh work....

*hugs*

Nope a person is never to old to lick the bowl especially when everything was made from scratch. A double layered Choc cake I am soo envious.

Yeah I know what you mean it always takes me a while to let work/school go when I go on vacation but I am so glad you are semi-relaxed right now.

Nah I don't think there can be to much fluff in a story I can't wait to read it.

Happy vacationing Hugs

I had some of the cake for breakfast...and lunch....still good. :D

I'm mostly relaxed, just not as much as I was before. Construction started back up again, so have the parking bans (why can't construction ever be on time?), and work is not so far away. I truly wish I had the time to be out longer but...ugh, life happens.

The story might be placed on hold for a little while. It's practically finished but I may wait a little while before posting, meaning I've now got two in my back pocket for emergencies.

Your vacation sounds fabulous, and that cake sounds DELICIOUS.

Of all the things I got out of watching it again, I realized how much my idolized female character was put down for being smart
Canon, why so obnoxious?

is there such a thing as too fluffy?
Nope!

If I stay up until four am and wake at one pm, so be it
Seriously, your vacation sounds lovely. :)

Oh, and I need to get on a writing quota for each day. Fifteen minutes a day is minimal, even if most of it could be done in my head.
I am impressed by your determination! I always start so many don't-break-the-chain type projects but am not good at keeping them.

Oh! Cake! I should probably go finish that now. :D

*runs and gets cake* Mmmm...oh, sorry, probably shouldn't rub it in. lol

Canon, why so obnoxious? I know! When I watched it, rather religiously, back as a sophomore in college, I didn't realize the somewhat obvious sexism going on. But, in earlier seasons, when said awesome female character would go on a technobabble rampage her CO would say "stop." :/ Honestly, what's hotter than an intelligent, attractice, and awesome woman going on a technobabble rant?! I have no idea...other than two of them. lol ( ... )
