Theres nothing sexual in that, that kind of relationship goes beyond gender and sex, but is built on years of trust and time spent together. Its not a sexual realtionship. And it shouldnt have to be! People can be soulmates, lovers, married, and never have sex ever. You know?

Exactly! I never, ever saw the Doctor and the TARDIS as a sexual relationship and I never, ever think it should be. But, they did it, and now it's taken as canon everywhere. I think my running theory for that episode will be that the TARDIS didn't know how to accurately express her excitement over seeing the Doctor so it came out a bit...off. She's still a ship and when was the last time you kissed a ship? Like that ( ... )

I LOVE THE HEADER. I am still in refusal mode with the Moffat Who so I can't comment on that. I do love Sherlock so I know I should give it a chance, but I hear such mixed reviews and I don't want him to ruin a great show for me. I plan on catching some old who this summer so I may be able to add a bit to that discussion eventually. I completely get the desire for a swanky phone. I've been lusting after an iphone for ages, but your right to wait until you have cash on hand to buy it. Student loans suck but there is almost no way through college with out them.

Aw, thanks. My first acknowledged header got some love. *is happy* Still needs work. I might do a mock-up to show you what I mean by size issues and, because I did web design for a bit, these things need to be just right.

Don't worry about Moffat Who refusal. Sometimes I wish I was too which is why Five is such a refreshing relief for me. His innocence and impending angst is wonderful.

As for Sherlock, don't let the Moffat thing get in the way, it's a brilliant series that works really, really well. It's just fantastic and completely, utterly unlike Moffat's Who episodes. I think it helps that he has Gratiss to moderate him, or that it's a completely new show without history, but Sherlock was my "cheat" for best new Show that Aired this Season in a TV Meme I've mostly forgotten about. There are few spoilers on that page but stay clear of the comments; they have spoilers in them. I think I give you a good idea of what the show is like from that post, if you care to see it ( ... )

Well, it'd be more of an idea of what it would look like if I put it on my journal.

You haven't seen WoM yet?! OMG, that is seriously one of my favorite Who episodes ever! So much emo!Ten and crazy!Ten and dom!Ten and...omg, Ten so much. I love him and want to shag hug him so much in that episode. He actually really does need a shag, I mean hug! So much with the hugs ( ... )

Argh! It ate my comment!!! Gr!! what did I say again? Erm...

I saw it as the TARDIS possessing Idris, and taking on the language and thought processes Idris would have done, rather than Idris being the TARDIS personified. When Moff described Idris as a beautiful woman (in the Confidential) I was shocked, as she reminded me of those poor souls you see who are mentally incomplete and attempt to apply makeup. Do I always have to view things so differently?

I liked your banner; but I agree that it would be too sombre for everyday usage...unless you always feel that glum, of course.

*hugs* While I was away from my laptop I made tea. *hands over tea & a biscuit*

oh I understand the "geek" I live with one after all. He has a lap top and a net book, a smart phone and a standard phone as a back-up, and don't even get me started on the list of games systems in our house, lol.

As for the header, I have a suggestion. Why not make the image smaller so it's height is more suitable, then add a simple black panel to the left hand side to increase the overall width and put your test there instead?

You can keep the whole image that way, but still have the text large enough to be readable.

*suddenly wants to do hubby to Alex game comparison* Not that I have a lot of video games or anything...Really....

Anyway, I'm totally getting the smartphone. Maybe next paycheck. It's like...a requirement or something.

I've changed the height a bit, loosing his tie, but that chops off maybe close to a 100 pixels. I also changed the width and thought of adding sidebars to that extra space but it wasn't enough for links. Black panels might work.

I'll work on it this coming long weekend but I may switch gears completely. The tone is slightly depressing even if I love the quote and the picture. Thanks for the feedback though.

well he doesn't do PC games, but aside from that, he's been collecting consoles, and games for 20 years so I imagine he'll beat you on quantity for sure.

There's more stuff than I care to think about in the back bedroom, but just in the main room downstairs, right now, we have an Xbox360, a PS3, a PS2 and a Gamecube, and then there's the hand-helds....

you get my point, lol

*tries to resist....*

I can't, sorry.

I only have my PS3 and PSP out right now, but packed away is my original Xbox, PS2, Gamecube, N64, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, and then there's the tricked out PC. One collection count puts me at around 550 individual games...that they can track. My first system was a Gameboy when I was nine or ten so that would be fifteen years of collecting, and doing it hardcore for the past five. Having a job helps. Although I make no claims as to having finished all of them.

You get my point too. But, honestly, no PC games? That's where it's at!

ETA: Oh, and I have my Nintendo DSLite somewhere...

- I'm not watching new Who, but the sexualized TARDIS pissed me off too. I don't find it funny anymore that everyone wants to jump his bones, and I kind of feel like the TARDIS is, I dunno, above that. Making their relationship sexual makes it creepy.

- I'm pretty much the only person I know whose phone isn't on a parent's plan, so I don't have to worry about that, but you should totally get a smartphone if you want!

- I suck at designing things, but if you have ideas for your header that you're having trouble executing/sizing, I'd be happy to help. I know my way around Photoshop pretty well? I like the screenshot your chose- WoM Doctor is frightening!
