List of Doctor Who Plot Bunnies/WIPs

Mar 22, 2011 22:16

Because it's a great idea to begin with, a way to keep me organized, it has lists, and jiji_bean has been nagging me mercilessly about putting this up, so here's my list of Plot Bunnies and Works-In-Progress for Doctor Who only. I've got enough DW fic ideas running around in my head that if I included some of my other fandoms in this list it would get a tad ( Read more... )

Ooh, nice. I keep thinking about posting a similar list, but I don't know if it would actually help me any. BUT, the ones that struck me:

Agincourt! OMG, Agincourt! I'd even put up with Donna for that. (And there'd be a certain appropriateness in sending Ten there, for reasons that, ah, actually have not much at all to do with the Doctor himself, so never mind. Er.)

Eight has a hand to hold. It'd be the sweetest thing ever.

The Samurai and the Rose - you already know I like this, and now I'm looking forward to it even more. XD (Although I'd suggest "leaving one in darkness and one in light" sounds better to me than "brightness".)

Sherlock and the Doctor. Do I even have to say anything? Also, if you haven't seen "A Study in Time" on youtube, go look it up. It's one of those trailers that just makes me so sad that it can't be real.

*smacks forehead* Of course you'd love Agincourt! I'm partial to the military tactics myself but I'm thinking that the Doctor whispered a few of Shakespeare's words into Henry's ear and got to hear the speech first-hand. He's done that tons of times before anyway! :) Although I did forget that you're one of the few on my flist who doesn't like Donna. I was going to use her more as comedic relief and make the whole thing funny instead of serious. (What in the world are you thinking? Sometimes you do have a devilish brain.)

Eight: I know! It would be so bittersweet though...

Oh, thanks for the suggestion! I think I'll change it. I'm trash at poetry.

I did go watch "A Study in Time" and was mesmerized. Must watch all of Sherlock and that vid again. Why is there not enough time in the day?!

After I posted this, I remember about four other plot bunnies I had forgotten to post. This is neverending.

Well, it's only one of the best speeches ever written in the English language, no big deal, really, is it? XP And yeah, the Doctor definitely gave him some prompting there. There's no way he could resist, especially not Ten, with his love of words. (Devilish? Coming from you, I'll assume that's a compliment... but it's not that convoluted. Have you ever seen St Trinian's? Or more specifically, St Trinian's 2?)

Bittersweet, yes, but all the better for it.

And you're welcome. :-)

I know! I need, like, 48-hour days to get through everything!

Ha, I always forget list items till after I post them, too.

No argument from me! :)

(I haven't heard of St. Trinian's. Is this something I should be looking up? And, yeah, devilish was meant to be a compliment but I figured you were talking of something entirely different...I think. You have certainly created a fair number of plot bunnies and I'd call that, by itself, devilish...but very nice of you.)

48-hour days and a higher tolerance for lack of sleep. Of course, I've read a lot about sleep in my constant quest to somehow get the most out of my waking hours and, somehow, in my head, control my own time, get the least amount of sleep possible, so five hours naps would be optimal throughout a 48-hour day. My gods, where is this planet?! I want to live there!

Well, that's why this list will be forever updated. Well, maybe not forever, but forever enough. I'll try to remember the ones I missed after I've had some sleep. *sips on energy drink*

OMG I AM IN LOVE WITH PRACTICALLY THE ENTIRETY YOUR BUNNY LIST. (Except for maybe one or two on a purely personal taste sort of way, meaning that they are still awesome.) The Samurai and the Rose sounds amazing- if you're still looking for a beta...

Also, Ten/Rose with Ten/Donna friendship and Rose/Donna friendship is like, my personal crack.

(Have you read tardis_stowaway's "Path of Needles"? It has Rose meeting Nine right after he regenerated, so it might be interesting reading for your Eight fic.)

You know, they might absolutely fail as stories. :D But, still good to know that you love practically all of it. (Btw, which ones weren't you so crazy about? I usually like to know which pairings/characters others don't like, mainly for shits and giggles, and knowing you're the most open of my flist, I'm more curious than other times.)

The Samurai and the Rose is my baby....if only I could find the time to write it. And, yeah, it still needs a beta. I always need a beta actually...and someone other than Dev to prod me along. And I was doing so good writing wise until I got sick. *is sad* So, instead, I compulsive reread my stuff a dozen times before and after I post. Awesome for my anxiety. Ugh.

Also, Ten/Rose with Ten/Donna friendship and Rose/Donna friendship is like, my personal crack.IKR? Some people don't get it but I think it would be an amazing concept. If only I could write Donna better ( ... )

Ah, figured it would be the Sherlock and the Doctor one. I just want their brains to duel it out genius style, really. Plus, I love the new Sherlock series but if you want something that passes the Bechdel test, you won't find it here. Still, I love geniuses and loyal sidekicks so I got hooked. I still sometimes have a hard time reading the fic for it. I mean, I like slash to a point, but it isn't always my forte or what I want to read.

(For reasons that are too personal and long to explain, we best stay away from any Spike/Buffy discussion. I am not a Spike lover and never, ever will be. I actually rather hate him, come to think of it. I think I'm the only woman in the universe to think this. I mostly keep it to myself.)

But, what I especially love like burning is their platonic friendship (there are totally not enough platonic, no-sexual tension M/F friendships in media! For that reason I also love Mal & Zoe from Firefly.)Oh, so agree. Most of this more shipper Doctor/Donna fics are for friends of mine who like that pairing so I ( ... )
