I could, couldn't I? Having a hardcover tome of Plato's complete works would give me a good edge up on those beasties. Don't worry, I'll protect you! *runs off, brandishing book*
Hmm, now that I think about it, perhaps I should par down my reading list. Not like I'd have that much time to read all of them, what with the lack of drinking water and food (I'm assuming). However, if water and food were abundant (see above, we eat the beasties!) then I'd need them all.
OoO! Same island, yes please!! And if you had your choice then I should really be bringing along some geeky books with me instead. Philip K. Dick alright with you? Or Adams? Assimov? Clarke? The computer repair manual? Too many geeky choices!
Haha. Are you a sucker for those survival shows too (I love 'em!). I'll build us a fire and wack beasties with books. Poor books though....
I think I'll go with PKD. Love his stuff; it's like mind-bending sci-fi horror. Have you ever read his short story "The Eyes Have It"? Was one of my first of his and it was perfect.
But we need to watch Hamlet first and then we can have our adventure! Are we skydiving in (all four of us, of course, you get your wish too!) or are we taking a boat? My vote is for the former.
(I'm starting to think that we are completely mental but in a very good way.)

Just thinking of your safety, love. ;D
If it's the same island as mine we could have lots of fun (especially if I'm allowed my choice). :D
