Welcome to the recap of what is easily the most convoluted episode in eight seasons of SG-1. Mainly because the writers switch focus every 30 seconds.

PETE BOUGHT A HOUSE? WTF? who would DO that? WHAT? A dog, you get without asking. But a HOUSE? I just. I have never understood that. It didn't seem like something Pete would do. Or even a rational human being.
hee. colorizing the names is so great. So - Thread-y. *g*

And even a dog, I feel like you need to talk about, especially if the other person doesn't have pets. There's probably a reason!
(Thanks! I was trying to think of a way to make this clearer... and fun!)

Yeah, I always thought that was a weird date idea too.
And a dog would be a horrible idea for someone who is home as often as Sam. That is, never. Even if she was working a regular job, though, I think it's the sort of thing that needs to be talked about. Pete was making a lot of assumptions. It'd be interesting to know what he was thinking when he was doing all of this planning/buying/whatever.
The whole Pete thing was started because Amanda Tapping was trying to get pregnant...
Interesting. I thought I'd heard somewhere that AT was pushing for Sam to get a bf because, well, it'd been eight years and the 'thing' with Jack that kept popping up was not going anywhere, so it was a whole (pardon my language), shit or get off the pot scenario. And AT wanted Sam to have a bit more of her character exposed. I was unaware that her own pregnancy factored into that, but that's interesting.

2. He was weird in this episode - optimistic, pessimistic, and back again. I don't know what the Jaffa were doing to celebrate their freedom, but I'd bet good money Bra'tac was in on it.
2. It was weird.
3. I agree - he did relax her. And it was nice to see that new side of her. It's too bad that character development is not a focal point in Stargate.
5. :)
6. I <3 your icon!
And thank you!
