New Soukyuu no Fafner movie!!!

This news is breaking way, way late here (it's been announced for over a month now and I had no idea! @_@), but there will be a NEW SOUKYUU NO FAFNER MOVIE.

It will be subtitled "HEAVEN & EARTH" and this time--it's A REAL SEQUEL! As in, this story takes place 2 years after the end of the series and Soushi finally returns to the island to reunite ( Read more... )

If they seriously (as in make a concerted effort to interfere in the SouKazu love) try and revive this love triangle thing with Maya I may have to punch something.

Beth-chan~!! XDDDD I FEEL YOUR ENTHUSIASM, GURLIE!!! Seriously, this had better be the ultimate in SouKazu love, because by the gawds, they have MADE US WAIT FOR IT!!! @_@ I haven't been able to find the magazine article w/ all the info, but someone posted that in the article, Ubukata-sensei says that they had to wait all these years to develop as people and creators to be able to do this sequel and do it justice--AND I SURE HOPE THAT MEANS THEY'RE MATURE ENOUGH NOW TO GO WITH THE GHEI!!!!

Seriously--don't those 2 deserve it? Especially poor, cuddly Kazuki who's suffered through 2 years of assimilation phenomenon breakdown. :( I got a mini-scoop in the February Animage that was just the mag speculating about the OVA, but unfortunately, they were all "iffy" about whether Soushi would really come back in the flesh. ;__; Poor Kazuki... Poor Soushi... can't they just have a cuddly, wuddly happily ever after?? Stupid Ubukata Tow and his wangst... I'm gonna have to write him a letter and demand a fluffy SouKazu ending... >.< LoL ( ... )

And I am all for Kaworu, but plz minus the whole turning evil+dying thing.

But OMG YES, PLZ GHEI. THEY TOTES DESERVE IT AND YOU SET IT UP, UBAKATA. I HOPE THIS MEANS YOU GREW A PAIR AND WILL FOLLOW THROUGH ON THIS.

Thomas-san, you must check it out! Story is great (okay, the translations on the official one aren't so great, but you can infer). Great acting, fresh story (seems like an apocalyptic mecha anime cliche at first, but it breaks out of that mold pretty fast), original characters--me likey~~

Hmm, you know what? I bought the February Animage but it didn't have that great 2-page article that folks on the soukyuu community scanned. Do you have a HQ scan of the 2-pager? If you can send it to me or put it up somewhere, I can translate it.

Oh, sorry for comment here ^^u, but I have to say:
At this moment, just hearing the news, can revive you fafner love only because you really love it.
And fafner is that good, good enough to endure the time on ours hearts.

It's so true--Fafner is so good, it stands the test of time!! *__* I'm so happy we're finally getting a sequel. I just pray it'll be everything we've longed and dreamed of.

And np about the translations--I'm glad I can help out the community in some way! ^^ And thankfully, my Japanese is MUCH, MUCH improved over my pre-Japan days, so I promise to deliver much more accurate translations much faster now. Lol~~ THanks for sticking with me! ^^
