New Soukyuu no Fafner movie!!!

This news is breaking way, way late here (it's been announced for over a month now and I had no idea! @_@), but there will be a NEW SOUKYUU NO FAFNER MOVIE.

It will be subtitled "HEAVEN & EARTH" and this time--it's A REAL SEQUEL! As in, this story takes place 2 years after the end of the series and Soushi finally returns to the island to reunite

Seriously, this had better be the ultimate in SouKazu love, because by the gawds, they have MADE US WAIT FOR IT!!! @_@ I haven't been able to find the magazine article w/ all the info, but someone posted that in the article, Ubukata-sensei says that they had to wait all these years to develop as people and creators to be able to do this sequel and do it justice--AND I SURE HOPE THAT MEANS THEY'RE MATURE ENOUGH NOW TO GO WITH THE GHEI!!!!

Seriously--don't those 2 deserve it? Especially poor, cuddly Kazuki who's suffered through 2 years of assimilation phenomenon breakdown. :( I got a mini-scoop in the February Animage that was just the mag speculating about the OVA, but unfortunately, they were all "iffy" about whether Soushi would really come back in the flesh. ;__; Poor Kazuki... Poor Soushi... can't they just have a cuddly, wuddly happily ever after?? Stupid Ubukata Tow and his wangst... I'm gonna have to write him a letter and demand a fluffy SouKazu ending... >.< LoL~~~

As for your question about the flash on the official site (thanks for pointing that out--I totally missed it!), it says:

Hmm, cryptic, huh? I'm guessing Fafner's pulling a Nagisa Kaworu (from EVA) on us. This new Misao character they're introducing must be a human Festum. I'm sure he'll be coming to the island to talk with Kazuki. But I sure hope he'll bring a resurrected Soushi with him~~~~~

LOL! Beth-chan, I'd totally managed to forget that cheesy line! (blocked it out, more like~ :P) Gawds, seriously... someone shoot that lousy 1st-half scriptwriter. @_@;;; With that 1st ep script, it's little wonder folks didn't give all of Fafner a chance... *sigh* Lol, but anyway~

Yes, you are so right--friggin' Ubukata and company--you set up the SouKazu ghei, so you'd BETTER COME THROUGH WITH IT!!! >.<# If SouKazu don't have a happy, cuddly, lovey-dovey ending (lol, ok, so maybe I'm asking a bit much of THIS ANGSTY SERIES with that... ^^; )--or, at the least, if they don't have a *moment* when their feelings can come through and be communicated/understood by one another, then we've been cheated/they're absolute cowards. Cuz the whole point about this series was how non-assimilated-as-one-being sentient creatures (i.e. humans as opposed to Festums) could "be one" in mind w/o having to get all Festum assimilated. So let's get our two heroes to that point since they're the ones with all these epic misunderstandings! >.< Let the LURVE shine through, I say!! >:D

You know, sometimes I seriously feel like we should write letters to Ubukata-sensei and be like, "srsly, dude--DO IT" to give him the fan encouragement to follow through. I'm sure they know that their longest-running fans are the BL fangirls, right? I sure hope they do what we want them to~~~~
