So I just went to buy someone a v-gift. I have a big stock of LJ tokens, that I specifically bought to give people v-gifts without digging up a credit card. In general, I give charity v-gifts, because I think that's a nicer gesture than just a .jpg. I have consistently been using my tokens to do this, as recently as 3 months ago ( Read more... )

I had that happen a couple months ago. I wanted to use my tokens for a charity gift and nope. Not an option. Assholes. I refused to reup my paid account.

I complained in multiple venues and they fixed it within 24 hours. I am...impressed. And a little confused.

That. Is. So. Not. Cool. Fucking LJ has been pissing me off with all their changes. I really wish I hadn't bought all that icon space and given them more money. X(

I'm still not going to renew my paid account, but I complained and they fixed it really fast. Kudos to them for doing that.

Yup! That happened to some of the charity v-gifts last year, and then when people complained about it to lj during Valentine's or so this year, they said they'd "look in" on it, but turned all the charity ones unpayable by tokens.

Weird- I complained in several venues (two support requests, and in the lJ_releases thread), and two people got back to me and fixed it within 24 hours. I have no idea what I did to get such quick and thorough tech support, but kudos to them for fixing it?

Oh, yay! Did they fix it for everything? I tried it just now and it seems the two v-gifts I clicked are payable by tokens again. Yay for you! I'm not used to lj fixing things. XD
