The Doctor is indeed asexual, AND him and Rose have a sexual relationship.

Amazingly enough, human beings can do the same thing. Who knew? ;)

I thought it'd be great to see it as something other than a "problem" to be fixed.

I wish there were more fics like that. Instead of "we must cure the Doctor of his asexuality" by having him sleep with this person or that person. It's like telling a woman "You're not really a lesbian, you just haven't had the right cock."

I guess I better stop. It's too early in the morning for a rant. ;)

Thanks for the fic rec!

"we must cure the Doctor of his asexuality"
The fic I see is more "Their love is doooooomed!" because the Doctor can't possibly love someone romantically unless he's banging them, and Rose (or whoever) can't possibly be happy loving someone unless they want to bang her. Either way, it's pretty not cool.

It's like telling a woman "You're not really a lesbian, you just haven't had the right cock."

Well, duh, it's not really sex unless there's a penis involved.

For data recovery: Recuva. The company that makes this are the same people who make CCleaner and I've even tried it before. If you haven't overwritten that sector of data on your HDD then you're ok. Otherwise, you might want to try out a bookmark syncing program for next time. :/

And if you're worried about malware, try CCleaner (as I said above) and Spybot. They'll clean out a new computer in no time. Pus, where's that anti-virus?!

So...Miracle Day.... Awesome or awesomeI tend to stay away from any arguments on the Doctor's sexuality because it just turns out bad. Everybody can have their own opinion as, frankly, other than bloody River Song, it won't be addressed. I, for one, think that the Doctor is a sexual being, even the Time Lords as a whole (they are human in a ton of other aspects and...well, there's math involved), but not all the time. I can see the asexuality and where people are coming from, and I also understand that asexuality does not equal non-romantic feelings or love, but I don't always see it that way. Anyway, ( ... )

Recuva was actually one of the ones I had downloaded and tried out! I was very impressed with it, actually. Unfortunately, the bookmark files were all overwritten. :P Not a huge surprise, but still sad. I apparently did have the foresight to save a bookmarks file last time I did a full backup (in....2010), so only 2 years lost instead of 5? Which is better than nothing!

So...Miracle Day.... Awesome or awesome? ;)
GWEN. GWENNNNN. LEAVE YOUR HUSBAND AND MARRY ME INSTEAD!!! I'm sorry, what was the question? ;)

I would totally read TimeLord based math. I bet it would be amazing.

I can see the asexuality and where people are coming fromI totally see it too, it's just one of those bits of fandom where it annoys me when people need to show that they're right and you're wrong, and it annoys me when it shows up inelegantly in fanfic (often in that same "I'm right/You're wrong!" context), I feel like it should be one of those instances where everyone's opinion is ( ... )

Yeah, backups are wicked important. I even have a spare external HD to manage most of my backups but it seems to be too small. :(

LOL! Isn't the whole cheating on her bf an excuse Gwen bashers use to "justify" their bashiness? Sorry, I just found that amusing ( ... )

I would totally defend my wife from all bashers! ;) I am amused at how the bashers coo over Jack's "edginess" but then turn into the upstanding moral police when it comes to Gwen. Yeah, it was totally shitty of her to cheat on Rhys, but I've seen so many comments about how she deserves to die because of her (sorta-kinda) adultery. SORRY, CREEPY FANGIRLS, WE NO LONGER DO THAT IN MOST COUNTRIES.

LOL, I bet the anti-Gwen alliance is eagerly watching MD just so they can bitch about it afterwards.

they set it up like a real sort of love story would go
Which I think is why it worked so successfully! I feel like we got to watch it unfold and then later go "Wow, this is such an awesome love story!" instead of the show going "OMG YOU GUYS, ARE YOU READY FOR THE LOVE STORY? HERE IT COMES!" I think your ultimate goal should be for your watchers to go "This should be fate!" instead of you telling them "This is ( ... )
