We're a little over a month from Mardi Gras. Too soon for the Mardi Gras icon? I don't think so. In future years, I think I'm going to start bringing it out at Twelfth Night. That's how you make January bearable, I think, embrace Carnival season from beginning to end. Even here the bakeries are already selling King Cake. GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME.

I read you whole post and had some things to say but once I read that you're writing Angel/Spike all my other thoughts derailed. It seems I am somewhat predictable too.

I find Klaus boring too! I don't like the actor and I don't think the character is interesting in his own right. In relation to other people, yes. On his own, no.

And I absolutely agree about the fraternal bond between Stefan and Damon, and also about Damon/Alaric. I would watch them sit around and snark at each other for hours and never get bored.

Right! I just can't get into it! And usually I like the villains. I think I just don't like too much brooding. There is too much brooding.

Stefan and Damon are SO compelling; I really enjoy how their relationship has been explored through the series. And I really enjoy how Damon and Alaric's relationship has NOT been explored, but rather just kind of HAPPENED leading you to wonder about the development. You know what fic I want? The one where they exchange cell phone numbers. How did that even happen originally?

I am looking for jobs and planning to write fic, too! Good luck! So far I've watched a Spangel vid, played a turn on FB's Word with Friends, and paid a bill. Hmmmm ... there's one good thing in there, at least. :)

Yeah, I ended up doing a few job apps, but today was not at all as successful as I wish it had been. Writing is hard. :(
