1) So for my graduation my parents got me an iPad and it came today. So far it seems kind of like a really big ipod and typing is awkward and I don't know how to make it do very important things like play .avi files and why doesn't it have a usb port whyy yyyyy? Apple sells a device that plugs into the iPad's only port & has a USB on it. Such a stupid design to get you spent 30 more dollars.

Yeah, I saw that when I was googling around. UGH, Apple; we have such a conflicted relationship. I will not be buying a separate USB port. It's not necessary; I have two other computers and I can plug the ipad into them to transfer music and stuff, I guess. I figure I'll mostly use the iPad as an ereader and for super portable Internet access and that'll be fine for what it is. I think it'll be pretty convenient to have. What I do not get is the claims I have heard about people replacing their computers with the iPad. That doesn't even seem possible.

1) so cool!

2)i watched gagalupe's vid at exactly 12:00 when it came out. 9 minutes later, i was like, hmmmm. i'm still not sure what i think of it. i DO think she's amazing always and love that she constantly pushes herself and is not afraid to try new things/ideas.

1) I don't know what all it does yet! But it gets on the Internet quickly and conveniently and can be used discreetly. Useful!

2) Yeah, it wasn't my favorite of hers and I was a little boggled by it at first, but I do think it was *interesting* and I just love her so much.

The next version of the iPad will have USB and will be able to run apps simultaneously. Make sure you have the lastest OS. They are up to OS4 for mobile devices.

Ok, I'll check on that! And yeah, USB would be great, but I guess I can get along without it, especially considering what I'm going to be using the iPad for.
