ASDFHGHJKHGFDS CASSANDRA
My favourite character in mythology, pretty much... ever.

The second person point of view makes this even more poignant. I've always found Cassandra's story to be truly fascinating and her character - and the archetype which is named after her - to be one of the most quintessentially tragic roles in literature. I think you've really captured that essence here.

BASICALLY I LOVE IT
YOU DID MY BABY GIRL JUSTICE :D

OH MY GOD I AM EIGHT MILLION YEARS LATE IN REPLYING TO THIS. SO MUCH FAIL :(

So glad you love it, so glad I did her justice. I've always loved Cassandra - even more than the heroes and the warriors in the Iliad, it was Cassandra who drew the most emotion from me. She's a terribly tragic figure, but I've always felt like she had to have been an incredibly strong woman, seeing what she saw, knowing she wouldn't be believed, and still trying to warn everyone in spite of it.

And I captured that!!! Eeeeeeeeek so much glee right now!!!

Basically, hearts forever at this comment.

Oh god, this really hit me hard. The depth of her... well, frustration is too weak a word, of her pain, of her knowledge, is just so immense here.

Wonderfully, beautifully done. It's been a while since a 1,000 word fic brought me close to tears.
