Having you post piccies of camelias when it's sweet pea time is just disturbing! I can't come to terms with this Antipodean upside down world thing...

My mum loved camelias. And yours are gorgeous.

Everyone seems to have colds just now, whatever hemisphere they reside in. What's going on???

LOL, just wait until we hit December again hey??? I think that's what always gives me an upside-down feeling, when I"m listening to "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas" while it's a sweltering 80F with at least 85% humidity!

C loves camelias. I wouldn't have them in the garden if it was just me but I do enjoy them now that they are here. I like to think they give the few winter pollinators something to eat (and I have seen the ocassional monarch butterfly around this month).

I know we're in flu season here, and come to find out mine is a particularly nasty strain. Yay me :(

The idea of a 'winter pollinator' is even stranger! The only butterflies we see in the winter are dead, or confused and about to be dead!!

We don't get many but since it's fairly mild here I do rarely see bumblebees, honeybees and butterflies through our late winter/early spring. This year I've seen them through the middle of the winter since it was mostly mild (just very wet).
