Thanks for the heads-up about Buffyverse Top 5. I'm not sure I'll be able to get something coherent written about the stuff that I liked by tomorrow, but I would have totally forgotten about the deadline otherwise. And hopefully it will spur on some people who are more organized and focused than I am at the moment.

I had so many ideas for btw posts and I haven't been able to pull it together - I feel overwhelmed by everything I wanted to post about, knocked off balance by a recent, um, fandom kerfuffle, and also newish my part-time job.

I do hope people will continue to post and most importantly keep commenting and replying - because we can still check into the posts as long as we like.

I always say "at least there's the classic round in October" and I have yet to actually make those either. *le sigh*

Thank you sweetie! I'm pretty happy with the fact that I've held my own against some of my very favorite artists in this fandom this round.

When I don't do as well as I'd like in a round, I mope and mewl and gripe about it pitifully and wonder "Why not?". There's usually an icon or two that I feel that way about in every challenge. On the other hand, if I look back at my icons a week or two after a challenge, I usually think "I thought that I con was good enough to win? Where was my head, how could I possible think that stinky icon was any good."

I generally like most of my icons, right after I make them but think they are the worst a few weeks later.

I actually took a hard, critical look at all my previous 20in20 sets and felt the same way. I can see the flaws in those sets I was SO proud of at the time (the Tara set? oh dear goodness me, but no....) - and yet there's individual icons I still love. The Xander/Buffy STFU icon for instance I still think is pretty damn funny and I love the clarity, the color, the wit. I still don't know why it didn't do better and I realize there's no answer to that. Objectively speaking, some of the icons for this current set aren't better than some of my NA again icons

Then again, some of my icons have done better this round than ones by starry_night and temper temper that I consider far superior. I thought you had some excellent icons this round. I think the icons that are doing well this round deserve to be doing well.

Color me perplexed either way I am many time perplexed how votes turn out.

I've looked at my icons that I posted a year ago on January 1, 2014 the other day and wanted to scratch my eyes out. *lol* I feel the same way about my early icons too. At least you can blame the eye scratching icons on the fact that you were only using photobucket....what's my excuse?

I think the icons that are doing well this round deserve to be doing well.THANK YOU, dear. *blushes* I really am not happy with my Soft Glow entry, I look at it and see the flaws and how the glow could have been applied more subtly and I KNOW I could have done a better job on that one. That was really thrown together at the last minute. (But I only spent about a week on this set so technically the entire thing was "thrown together" this time
