-Shinji initially arrives to do some training himself, but goes rushing back around the corner when he sees Asuka. Likely he's already been spotted, but he still tries to stay out of sight.-

She's training really hard... I bet she's angry with me.

-He sinks down against the wall and just listens to the crunching sounds of Asuka beating her targets senseless.-

But the point of sims is to make the real deal easier. And you're supposed to be a team with Shinji and Rei. I mean, you three are at your strongest when you're together and coordinated.
