How old is he now?? What about pull ups? They would be harder to pull off. How about rewarding him with his favorite treat if he keeps his diaper on or goes potty, make a big spectacle of how proud you are of him.
he's almost 2.5.... but he seems to run on the delayed side of everything, so I'm taking that into account.
I thought about the treats, but I was trying to save that for when he actually "does" use the potty (which he won't lol) and didn't want any confusion on treats=diapers. So, for now I guess I follow him around with a bucket and a bottle of resolve? D'oh!

First, it's really important that you not get stressed out over this. Other than the fact that it may require some extra cleanups, the whole potty training schedule is unimportant in the large scheme of things. There's huge variation in the age at which kids "get it." One thing's for sure, though, if you interview kindergarten teachers, there are very few children who are not trained by the age of five ;-) What's six or eight or even ten months when spread out over a life time? Potty training is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, like getting married, so you might as well make it fun and stress free

LMAO I'll have to get some pics of him slinging his poo, that would deter ANY right minded woman. ;D matter of fact, where's my camcorder?! hehehe
I am not really concerned that he's not ready to train so much as the fact that he seems to want to run nakkies (which means I'm not sure where/when he might have spelled relief. lol) The diapers have something similar to velcro, and as long as I can keep shorts/pants on him over the diapers we seem to get more "wearage" out of the diapers themselves.
actually Shay basically trained himself by 2. I dont know how...first at night which blows me..then day. He has never once wet the bed but has peed himself when he is too busy outside to come in

I'm too damn cheap for pullups too twinsie. Sandi pretty much trained herself, or at least that's the way I'm remembering it (10 yrs is a long time), and Marco was ok to pee but no poo in the potty. I don't recall any accidents persay (maybe I subconsiously repressed them lol)
I've told Jamie to start taking him in the bathroom with him when he goes, so he can "see" what's posed to really happen. LMAO
My poor carpet.... he's so quick to shuck the diaper when we're not looking, we've no idea how long it's been off cuz when we find it, it's dry. Makes me wonder if the carpet is? lol
