actually Shay basically trained himself by 2. I dont know how...first at night which blows me..then day. He has never once wet the bed but has peed himself when he is too busy outside to come in. Avery trained himself too...am I lucky or what? so....the last ones I trained were Brooke and Dylan. Brooke took off diapers but yet wasnt ready to train. I remember wiping shit off the bars of her crib soooooo fun. So Jim duct taped them damn things on..lmao. We used disposables then when I thought she was ready it was panties and thats all during the day. Lots of accidents but she didnt like being wet or dirty. So...she trained. night was different. Diapers for awhile. Dylan was harder. He couldnt care less if he was dirty or wet cause he was too busy so we had to bribe. Smarties, toy cars from the dollar store etc when he went in the potty. We had to..lol But it eventually worked too.
I have never used pullups. Im too cheap, they didnt have them until Avery was born here ..anyway. And most kids I babysat peed in the damn things anyway so for my kids I just didnt bother.
Maybe hes not ready. Just put the shorts on like you say until you can see hes ready. Not a fun job..lol

I'm too damn cheap for pullups too twinsie. Sandi pretty much trained herself, or at least that's the way I'm remembering it (10 yrs is a long time), and Marco was ok to pee but no poo in the potty. I don't recall any accidents persay (maybe I subconsiously repressed them lol)
I've told Jamie to start taking him in the bathroom with him when he goes, so he can "see" what's posed to really happen. LMAO
My poor carpet.... he's so quick to shuck the diaper when we're not looking, we've no idea how long it's been off cuz when we find it, it's dry. Makes me wonder if the carpet is? lol
