Spike ambles amiably up to the table and grabs on to the table cloth, which he attempts to eat.

"That is not for eating, Spike!"

Spike grabs hold of that food and starts to champ on it. Really, he'll eat as long as Petrie keeps providing him with food.

Sometime late in the evening, after having had one too many (or perhaps one too few) glasses of champagne, and at least one mug of eggnog, and one tiny glass of kahlua and cream, Sarah had found herself a nice sturdy table to dance on.

If provided by 'dance' one means 'gyrate'.
And if by 'sturdy table' one means 'table that will topple her if she gyrates too much harder'
Someone catch her?

He also considers idly moving away from the table. Just in case.

She's not Drunk maybe a little drunk, and maybe even Drunk, but certainly not Drunk.
