With no teachers coming forward to assist me when the Graduate Coordinator emailed them, the Graduate Coordinator offered to be my thesis adviser. However, this means that I have to do my thesis in the field she is familiar with, which is language in cognition. An area I barely know anything about. So I have to read a lot of stuff to familiarize myself with.
I finally got to meet with her yesterday, and she just suggested "Tip of the Tongue" phenomena. She was supposed to send me a bunch of resources
She tells me though that in order for me to have my Data in by December (allowing me to leave in December), then I need to start collecting data in the Fall, which means that I have to have my proposal in and approval through the IRB... Which is very, very hard to do in such a short amount of time. So it's unlikely I'll be able to leave by December. :(
