Title: In Production
Author: reccea
Artist: waterofthemoon
Genre: RPS
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: NC-17
Word Count: around 40,000
Summary:A decade after Supernatural ends, Jared Padalecki is still working in series television. His marriage to Sandy is coming to an amicable end, and he's famous enough that he wants to be out of town before he becomes a tabloid headline.

Jensen Ackles has seen his career progress from small but weighty parts that earned him acclaim to above the title billing. The notoriously private Jensen extends an invitation--by way of a first-class plane ticket--for Jared to hide out at Jensen's mostly empty Paris flat while he films his next movie.

Three months in Paris is enough to tone down the tabloid attention, but Jared returns to LA only to find that he doesn't have everything figured out. They say you can't go home again, but Jared discovers that sometimes that's exactly what you have to do.

The Thank Yous

First off, thanks to the amazing waterofthemoon. The artwork is just gorgeous.
Thanks go to kimannebb and joyeuxnoel for their encouragement and beta assistance. I can’t thank you enough guys.
Blame goes to hederahelix for convincing me to sign up for big bang and convincing me that my story was good enough. Thank you for your help, the summary, your editing, your love of commas, and your constant encouragement. This is all your fault.
Lastly, thanks go to smittywing for holding my hand and betaing all 40,000 words of this thing, despite not even being in the fandom. I can’t explain how much I appreciate your encouragement and your friendship. Thank you for making me a better writer and a better person.

The Story Notes

All of this started because someone on my friendslist mentioned desperately wanting a story set at least ten years in the future. I remember there was some waxing poetic on Jensen’s laugh lines, but I do not remember who said it. Clearly, the idea stuck in my brain and didn’t let go.

In case you’re wondering, the nachos totally exist.
