Unfortunately for the little cow, Ryohei had been in the gym when Lambo came knocking up his apartment, knocking a sandbag around. He was halfway through his daily routine when a call came in.

"Ryo!" Tanda called from behind the front desk. "RYO, YOUR NEIGHBOR IS CALLING."

"WHAT!" he exclaimed, hopping off his spot and taking a glove off to reach for the phone. He put it a little ways from his ear to not get too much sweat on it. "Sasagawa here!"

"Ah, Sasagawa-kun," said the lady from the other end of the line. It was the elderly landlady from the second floor. "There's a... boy in front of your door, and he won't leave even if I say that you're out! The poor thing must be freezing outside, he doesn't look dressed for the weather."

"A kid?" he echoed, thinking fast. "Looks like a cow?"

"Well, not looks like a cow, but his clothes have that all over? What should I do with him?"

"Ah.............. Eh............... I'll be there soon! Can you let him in my place? Thanks ma'am, I owe ya!"

Putting the phone down a little worriedly, the elderly landlady made her way back to the window and peered down at the boy.

"Little boy," she called. "Don't move, all right! I'll let you in Sasagawa-kun's apartment. He said he's coming soon."

Lambo rubbed his hands together for warmth while he waited for the old woman to come out, sniffling a bit. Old people moved so slowly! When she finally did emerge, Lambo gave her his best charming grin. He may as well ask her for otoshidama too while he waited, right?

"Wait a bit," she smiled warmly, thinking that the boy wasn't too bad after all, despite the weird persistence. She made her way to Ryohei's front door and pulled out a ring of keys from her sleeve, inserting the right one and opening the door.

"Here you go. I don't think Sasagawa-kun left his heater on, but his apartment's warmer than outside." Gesturing, she ushered him right in.

"In the kitchen!" Lambo called back.

The said baby cow was actually already raiding Ryohei's fridge while he waited for him to come home. After all, the trip there had made him very hungry. He was a little disappointed by the contents, though; boxer's diets were so boring!

Ryohei blinked and padded over, eventually finding the baby cow raiding his stuff. "You don't find anything there by vegetables and protein," he laughed, handing a bag of warm meat buns that he'd picked up over. "Here, better food for the baby cow."

And then, before he forgot: "Why're you here, Lambo!" he asked, though he did not particularly mind.

"Not a cow," Lambo shot back. He fished out a meat bun and nearly inhaled it, he was so hungry!

"Lambo is here because it's the new year! Happy New Year." Seeing the blank expression on Ryohei's face, Lambo stuck his hand out for emphasis.

He knew what Lambo was there for, of course, and he had two envelopes ready for it already (one with a wad of blank paper and a bill in front, and the real otoshidama). It was nice to play dumb, though. Lambo was so fun to tease.

"Oh, Happy New Year!" he grinned, putting another meat bun on the hand Lambo stuck out.

Satisfied with his prank, Ryohei pocketed the other envelop (after 'accidentally' showing it's far larger content) and grinned innocently. "Happy New Year, baby cow!"

It was very, very hard to keep his laugh contained!

"Your otoshidama is a lie," Lambo sobbed. "A lie!" He batted (ineffectually) at Ryohei's shoulders, because seeing the money he could've gotten was even worse!

"You still get something!" the boxer laughed, ruffling Lambo's hair in a manly, fond way. "That's what you get when you're greedy! I bet you tried to get money from my landlady, too!" Not that she would have given him any. She was a dictator with money.

"Oh, hey, do you want to come with? Imma seeing Li later!"

"Lambo wasn't greedy, Lambo was tricked! And your landlady is stingy, just like you!" Lambo harrumphed and waved Ryohei's hand away, then carefully began to fix his hair. He brightened a little at the mention of Lissuria. Surely he'd be more generous? "Un, Lambo will go!"

"You're not a kid, though!" He paused, considered that. "Wait, you are! I guess that'd be bad, no! But don't you work for Vongola? Is Tsuna guilty of child labor?"

If he peered around Lambo a little bit, he could see a little of the very large text he was typing. "What're you doing, journalling?"
