It always feels better to rant, doesn't it? Grab your coffee and go read something. ;)
Things will work out. Personally, I think you should opt for skipping London this time around and go bum around in Amsterdam. You'll feel better making the decision and purchasing the tickets.
Looks like my rant really did the trick! The universe isn't conspiring against me after all... finally heard back from Ra, and she's dying for me to stay with her in London.
I BOOKED THE FLIGHTS FIVE MINUTES AGO.
(HUGE SIGH OF RELIEF)
I would have liked to have seen Amsterdam, too, but catching up with my friend after 6 years is more important. Besides, I love London. Love it! And I can play it kinda low key there and save some money (hey- no hotel), but still have an awesome time.
I just read an article on how airline prices typically drop midweek. Should never book on the weekends. I'm pretty sure I *always* book on the weekends. Doh!
I feel like I read forty different articles about when to book, which were basically about as reliable and detailed as the weather reports lately. "Yes, the prices might be better midweek" sounds about the same as "There may be up to a foot of snow on Wednesday".
Made my booking this morning (apparently my rant was somehow quite effective), and it was the second lowest price I've seen for my desired route and airlines since I started looking. (shrugs) Who knows why?
I'm so excited, though! I love London, and it'll be my first time to Paris! ^_^
I'll be kicking around London with no specific plans from April 15 - 20, if you want to come down and play! I can be a bit on the dangerous side when I have no specific plans, though...
...usually something ends up happening involving a transvestite fortune teller or some Italian backpackers. Or both. Or a guy dressed like a witch. We wouldn't want to forget about him, now would we? He might curse us... ^_^
