Just when I thought the High Holy Days were over, along comes Sukkot. Our congregation had a little hamotzi and kiddush under the sukkah on the lawn after services tonight. The weather was perfect for it -- cool and crisp and autumn-y. But everyone from the temple tried to fit under the sukkah (Mr. G said, "It's as crowded as a New York City

In short, a Jewish holidays that celebrates camping out! We're supposed to build booths in our yards and sleep in them.

Yeah, aunt connie here, Athena is coming in Nov. 9th. I plan on having all you Cowie's over for dinner so yall can visit. I promise it will be good. Uncle John is exhausted, working a turn'a'round and is now on his 7th straight day without a day off and working very hard. He is asleep in the recliner like an old man right now. He ate, I helped him take off his boots and he said he needed a nap before he could shower. Poor guy. He spent over 4 hours today opening a valve, a huge valve. Anyway I really want Sara to come visit too. I miss her so much.
Eva started piano lessons a month ago and is begining to read music. She has learned the 'Carol of the bells" and is now learning another piece. I am proud of her. Olivia and Juliana are well also.
