The guy with the bugs? Think someone told me bird-types are good against 'em.

[ He is so good at this you don't even know. ]

I'll probably hafta fight him too, sister. Java finally evolved -- the cat I've got -- and she's not too keen on listening to me anymore. I hear havin' badges helps with that.

[Hanekoma you are so amazing at this.]

Oh? Well then if I fight him first, I'll let you know what types work against him. I didn't know some pokemon would stop listening though if you didn't have badges.

[Since hers listen to her still.]

I know Phones has got the same trouble with his, uh. Gyarados.

[ Hanekoma's Pokemon get restless when he doesn't train them much, and that sure doesn't help. He's somehow managed to do the impossible and land himself with a team of six. They're just... a really pathetic team of six. ]

The basics are fire and bird types, but also depending on the mix of types that the gym leader may have-like bug AND flying-you can also use ice or electric.

Oh thank you! I know there are some flying types around Azalea.

Bugsy utilizes bug-type Pokemon. Fire, rock and flying-types have an advantage.

His final Pokemon, apparently a Scizor, is part steel-type. Water Pokemon should be able to take him down easily.

I don't have a water type, but I should be able to get a rock and flying type from Route 33 or the cave. Unless there's water types in the forest?

[That don't require fishing at least.]

I'm not certain. I haven't searched the forest for water-types yet.

There might be, if not then I'll just try and work with what I have. I wonder if you can go down the well and find a water type.

[She hasn't really attempted to go down there yet, she doesn't eve know if you're allowed to go down there.]

Who's Bugsy?

[Guess who's been here for like four months and still doesn't know the Gym Leaders' names, OR any type weaknesses and advantages~]

[She looks pretty interested though. FIRE was mentioned, and while she's stuck without anything else at the moment, she does have firepower..]

Bugsy is the Gym leader in Azalea, he uses bug type pokemon.

[Oh Heather.]

[1. GO TO NEW WORLD.
2. ASSUME EVERYTHING WORKS BY THE LOGIC YOU'RE USED TO AND DON'T BOTHER ACTUALLY LEARNING MUCH ABOUT THE CULTURE.
3. WANDER AIMLESSLY IN THE WOODS.
4. ??????
5. PROFIT.]

Gym Leader, huh?

Is he as hard as Falkner?

[Because... yeah, Falkner sort of kicked her ass. Though she'd been close! She'd been training in preparation to take him on again, but... um. Yeah. Fog happened.]

[Except you don't get any profit.]

I don't know, I suppose he would be really easy to beat if you had a Fire type since they deal a lot of damage to Bug types. I've heard that Flying and Rock also have an advantage.

[Rhyme your rambling.]

So really it just all depends on the team you face him with.
