It is terrible how quickly you lose languages if you don't use them. Before I had kids, my Punjabi had just about reached simple conversation level. Now...well, not so much.
You are such an inspiration. I started reading a Harry Potter book in Spanish, figuring that familiarity with the material would help me get through it. I put it down after a chapter or two because I had to look up so many words that I could barely get through a couple of pages in a couple of hours. Mostly I'm afraid to practice on real people, because I fear that either they'll speak English just fine and wonder why I'm assuming they speak Spanish, or that they'll take off full speed and I won't understand them.
I should go back to that book next when I get home. :) Oh hey, do you think "Don Quixote" would be available for free kindle download in the original Spanish?
