Today was my first day of work for Bob Peters at Phoenix Books, Ltd. It was good. Not all of it was fun; there's a senile old bat running around, but she's the original founder so it's tolerable. The morning guy who's showing me the ropes could use an octane boost, but he's cool

My job is actually complicated. Astrology is not simple; you have to learn a whole new language.

And astrology is only a very small part of my job. Most of it is actually inventory *gag.* The rest is sales and book searching and ordering. There's a little bit of stocking. Not real exciting.

well of course astrology isn't simple. Lots of symbols and aspects to learn...I still find it very fascinating and interesting. Funny because last night I was at Waffle House and this group of kids came in, and one of em' had a book on Astrology. Not just some run of the mill book, but like...a fuckin' textbook. It had everything in it. Every aspect, planetary influence...node...chiron. I want that damn book.
