Singer of Moscow streets, light and bright, Alexej Shalaev! Please, welcome!
Alexey Shalaev was born in 1966 in Moscow. He studied at the Moscow Aviation Institute, majored in electronic automation systems. However, in the early nineties a strong interest to painting led him to the teacher Skvortsov. Painting has become his life time ambition. Since 1992, he participated in exhibitions of artists in Paris, Prague.
Favourite genre of Alexey Shalaev - cityscape. Many of his works are about old Moscow, created of his readings on history and architecture of the city. Alexey lives in Moscow from his childhood being a witness to the never stopping changing of the city. Old city of his childhood disappears, there is a new modern concrete city, nature and soul of which leave much to be desired. In his works, the artist wants to capture the vision of the beloved leaving town.
As usual quick video, works of Alexej in motion, accompanied by a song "Orange cat" by Vladimir Kachan. I will not be bold enough to translate - just enjoy :)
