thanks, i'm glad! don't know if genma would care if shino was mad or not, but shino's dad - that would be an interesting conversation because shino's dad is mega-scary.

That's probably all you'd have to do, actually.

The problem is, it's a rather difficult idea to portray. I've been thinking about it and analyzing myself, too, trying to figure out how to write it--because it's actually based on a habit I developed in high school (a strange coughing habit obviously).

Another problem is that I don't know a lot of the "random ninja" characters at all. Who do you think would be Hayate's loudest friend during his time at the Academy? That would definitely help if I knew that. I need to research his character.

Hmm, but since it's probably going to be rather short, I might start working on it soon. As in, tonight or tomorrow.

And speaking of Shino, I was also having fun getting inside his head in this Kiba/Shino fic I'm half-assedly working on.

By the way, I'm a boy. Just so you know (was looking at your icon just now, lol).

huh, it's the only genma icon i have *i fail*, but that does make my flirty-innuendo just a TAD squicky...*shrugs* whatever, now you write...

hayate is supposedly a year younger than kotetsu, izumo and anko, so of those i would choose anko or kotetsu (anko is loud, kotetsu is whiny). wish i could find the link to the fanbook translations i had saved (before bad sector aliens invaded my laptop) so i could add more.

oh hey, your kiba 24hr fic, yeah. ummm, i'm kinda stuck. got through the first two, but the word 'carbuncles' left me catatonic, so i'll have to read the rest later. you rule!

i would dance along, but i am exhausted by chuck e cheese - never again. i mean it. i'm not kidding.

the 'technically' line is one of my faves, because i can so hear him saying this. it was amazing writing this because the deeper i get, the more stuff comes up, and it all kind of connects to what makes them who they are now. not always, because people are still kind of random about some things - keeps it interesting.

glad you enjoyed it, and so glad the switch wasn't irritating or anything.

I've finally figured it out -- the difference. You use detail sparingly -- an almost minimalist approach to telling a story, quick, yet intricate. I'm a sensualist's nightmare, all the little details -- every twist of a lip, each drop of blood.

Yet, somehow, we seem to attract the same set of fans, to some extent. Creepy, but magically delicious to the last.

As to this, it's an excellent third to the current run of Genma vs. Pointy Objects fics. I am pleased, as always. ;)

we attract the same fans because we write SMUT! *grin* i like adding small details, but i don't want to overwhelm (anne rice) plus i admit, i write what i want to read, and i don't always want to read 2 pages about the view outside of a window.

never thought of myself as a minimalist, but if it fits, woohoo me! too bad i can't get my HOUSE to agree *i phail at housekeeping*

glad you likey! but it's too bad genma doesn't like needles, because imagine genma with a ball stud in his tongue - i think hayate's (or iruka's) head would explode.
