[after sending out several packages in the Plane's postbox, the Doctor heads to the theatre to set up for the meeting. soon, a sign outside the theatre that says "Marathon of classic films made during Britain's Golden Age begins today!" hangs from over the entrance. the smell of popcorn permeates the air and indeed, a special popcorn machine is ( Read more... )

[ Roxas arrives almost as soon as he gets the message in the mail. When he gets into the theater, he's obviously surprised by something - the volume of the movie isn't overpowering him, as he was almost sure it would have. Not that he doesn't hear it (he hears it perfectly fine, in fact), but it's still enough to make him pause at the door.

The thump-thump-thump-thump of the heartbeat he heard from the Doctor previously tells him that the one who sent out the letter and watch is exactly who he thinks it is. Though, perhaps not the same version. He makes his way down the aisle. ]

I thought it was you who sent those letters out.

[he turns in his seat, hearing someone approach. an eyebrow shoots up high in question by that statement] Did you now? I'm sure I'd be impressed if I knew who you were. Well, I suppose I could be if I tried.

I take it you've met another version of me before now?

[ Blink! ] Oh... Yeah, I guess so. Sorry about that. [ He holds a hand out. ] I'm Roxas.

[takes his hand, shaking it firmly] And I'm the Doctor--but you already knew that. [he smiles]

So! Got my message then?

[Emil is nervous and perhaps still a little confused, but Roxas is better at explaining things than you'd expect, so here he is! He keeps looking around for any familiar faces but all he finds is the Doctor. And some watches. He keeps one clutched tightly in his hand as he goes to approach Ten, whom he does know, though he... doesn't know which one it is.

This is a hard thing to keep track of, okay?]

Um... Doctor...

Ah yes, hello! [he smiles a bit] Before you ask, no, we haven't met. You must've met another version of me around here. But since you know who I am and I've got no idea who you are, let's start with your name, hmm? [he holds his hand out]

[Oh, crap. As usual, Emil fails at introductions, instead focusing on the I DON'T KNOW YOU part.] A-aahh! I'm sorry! I hope I'm not intruding or anything. I-I'd really like to help, and I... promised Roxas that I would try. It's really important that I try, so...

[His lips form a line as he looks at the Doctor, green eyes wide and brighter than they have a right to be.]

I'm Emil... Emil Castagnier. Please, let me help.

Oh, don't apologise. You're not intruding at all! But I take it since you spoke to Roxas, you didn't receive a package from me, did you Emil? [doesn't wait for an answer] Hold on a mo'!

[he starts to reach for one of the small boxes but pauses for a moment, thinking, then suddenly:] OH! [whirls around to face Emil] "Emil"! Now I remember where I heard your name before. Blimey. You know another me, don't you? The one who wears the leather coat and has those ears of his?

[Half of Dino's life has been spent in deception and lies. This isn't the first meeting he's been to where it's true meaning has been masked behind something much more innocent. In an odd way it's almost comforting to him. At least that part is familiar grounds amongst all this madness.

He wanders into the theater, hands thrust into his pockets. As he saunters down to the front row and takes a seat. As he does so he removes his hands from his pockets. He is wearing his watch.]

I guess this old place still has some use after all.

[the Doctor glances over at Dino, his eyes catching sight of the watch he sent]

It is quite nice, isn't it? Reminds me of the theatre where I saw the Lon Chaney version of The Phantom of the Opera on opening day. Oh, you should have heard the gasps when he showed his face for the first time. But not me, nope. I'd seen it several times on Blu-ray and IFT before then, of course, but it's never quite the same experience, really.

[That gives Dino only a momentary feel of surprise. He's used to the odd tricks time plays on the Plane, and anyway, he's talked to Doctors before. He's just not sure if it's this particular Doctor he's spoken with.]
Theaters seem to have their own atmosphere. It's impossible to really feel the same as you did the first time you saw something in a theater, no matter how fine your home entertainment system is.

Very true. Yes! Anyway! You got the package I sent, I see. However, I'm afraid I don't exactly know who you are, though chances are you met another version of me before now.

[turns in his seat, reaching out to offer Dino his hand]

[Sporting a lovely purple version of the watch, which has been lovingly dubbed the Freakwatch, Sirkka makes her way through the theater. She's dressed for a night on the town, if the town was slightly better off than her native Whitechapel; black lace covers her frilly purple cami, and a long dark skirt with many layers fluffs out around her sandaled feet.

She smiles as she spots the Doctor, and without any reservations at all, takes a seat near him.]

Thank you for the present and the invitation. I'm not late, am I?

[he smiles when he sees her and nods her head] Oh, think nothing of it, Sirkka! I'd say you're just on time.

Oh, I remember this movie... I think. [quite possibly she was making out with Jack during the second half] Anyway, it seems you've quite the turnout. Less than I expected, but word will spread, won't it?

Oh, I'm sure it will do. It's a big decision, after all. Normally, the biggest choices people have to make during the course of the day is what clothes to wear, what to eat, and whether or not to indulge in an episode of Big Brother--not "should I gather together with a group of strangers to save a place I nip off to for a quick snack and film before finishing some mundane piece of paperwork". [of course, he has none of these quandaries on a day-to-day basis (though to be fair, he does spend an awful lot of time deciding which tie to wear)]

[ When she arrives, Ai has the watch in hand, her gaze shifting about the room. She was dressed in a sweater and jeans, her school pack on her back, clearly showing that she had checked her mailbox just after-school. She had no idea who this Doctor person and just how she was in times like these, she was far more paranoid than usual. And quieter at that. ]

[ By then she found a seat in the far back and was only waiting now. Looking up at him she moves her bag from the next to her. ]
