θ 2 - Formation of a resistance

Jul 17, 2010 01:08

[after sending out several packages in the Plane's postbox, the Doctor heads to the theatre to set up for the meeting. soon, a sign outside the theatre that says "Marathon of classic films made during Britain's Golden Age begins today!" hangs from over the entrance. the smell of popcorn permeates the air and indeed, a special popcorn machine is hard at work popping a fresh batch. it's self-serve, but the machine will begin popping more if it runs too low; it's just that nice. (drinks, however, are left to the mercy of whatever is available at the nearby concession stand.)

there is a film playing on the screen of the theatre, but the sound has been turned down so low, only those with keen ears can catch snippets of the dialogue. shame too, it's a damn good film. ahead of the very front row is a table he brought with him from the TARDIS, piled high with small boxes containing watches just like the ones he sent out in the post. and near this table sits the Doctor, his attention seemingly on the film, but his eyes flicker impatiently to his own watch that he'll probably just toss in a drawer later after the deathmatch business is done.

he could only do one thing for right now: wait; his least favourite part of any plan, especially this one.]

[ooc: As promised, here is a post for a discussion to put an end to the deathmatches. The Doctor has a plan which he will share upon people's arrivals to the theatre and details can be hashed out here. Threadhopping is cool with me if you wish to join a discussion and whatnot. Hopefully by the end, we'll have a solid plan of attack! The mods have informed me that the only successful attack can happen once all of us have had our turn and gotten our own murderous urges out, so any attempts before the final match will fail. Just as a heads up!]
