i know you're a fan so don't want to go too hard on the diss, but really i think james murphy is at his best when jacking cool stuff from the past. some of it does sound wicked. however, i don't think his "references" would really tie in that nicely with cut copy's. apparently dfa/tim goldsworthy wasn't a massive first choice but when they were chatting with him and talking about where they were coming from and what they wanted to do and how they wanted to do it, he was really perceptive and seemed to be right on it with all their influences and ideas etc. which is cool. i've heard some loving hand remix stuff but not heaps. i found the wolfmother one pretty underwhelming.
anyway, i think that despite my early doubts, this combo is going to work out well and will probably stop me being such a hater on the dfa.
