I already knew I loved Mickey Flanagan and Stewart Francis and I'm pleased to find I like Nathan Caton too. Don't know why I wasn't really looking forward to MtW this week, it was a good one ( ... )

I loved that episode of WILTY. I'm the same with Jack Whitehall - not a big fan, but he's alright on this. Oh I remember the wrestling teacher episode, hilarious. :D

I think I prefer Alan's hair shorter, like on 'Show Me The Funny'. Although it looks darker longer, I think.

I do like Lee Mack, but every time he's been on QI, I just think he's trying too hard to play the part of a working-class northern stereotype (I don't mind that), but also to make out that he's an idiot, which he isn't at all. I've heard of 'The Unbelievable Truth' and I really should check it out, shouldn't I? I like David Mitchell quite a lot. :)

Some people just work better in certain places, I agree. Jeremy Clarkson, for example, would be appalling on Mock the Week but kind of suits QI. Jack Whitehall, I imagine, would irritate the hell out of me on QI. And while I love him to bits, I'm not sure Ed Byrne would work too well on WILTY.

I have quite the weakness for longer hair so...

I think the working-class uneducated northerner thing is marginally more annoying on Not Going Out, because I know Lee writes it and therefore, whenever Lucy or Tim makes some comment about it, I know it's Lee and his stereotype machine out again. Being a born-and-bred southerner, I'm stuck firmly on one side of the north-south divide but my bosses consider themselves northerners, despite having moved down here in the mid 70s, and I am gradually getting a strong grudge against what northerners think southerners think of northerners, if you follow me.

Oh Jeremy would be unbearable on Mock The Week, whereas he's good on QI and very much suits HIGNFY as well. I actually think Ed Byrne would do well on WILTY (has he ever been on it?), but not QI.

I don't watch 'Not Going Out' religiously, but I know what you mean completely. Haha, we have a different sort of North-South divide over here. :P
