'Mock The Week' Series 10 Episode 7: Stewart Francis, Nathan Caton, Mickey Flanagan
i) First off, so nice to know that Chris Addison is going to be here every single week being amazing.
ii) Dara's summery summary.
iii) The street price of basmati rice: 'Not just basmati, but if you cut it with pilau...'
iv) Discussions about 'whimsical' water cannons and rubber bullets.
v) Nathan Caton's and Stewart Francis's stand-up sections.
vi) 'They can run a hundred metres in 10 seconds. I can have sex in under 10 seconds. WHERE’S MY MEDAL?!'
vii) More amusing teacher tips and casually racist accents from Mickey Flanagan. 'You book Mickey Flanagan, you know what you're going to get.'
viii) All the 'Unlikely Lines from Children's Books', especially Chris Addison's 'Stringfellow' poem.
It's so good to have 'Mock The Week' back! I think Chris Addison is a great addition - I did like the format with only two regulars, but so much love for Chris. Also, impressed with Nathan Caton - I don't think I've ever seen him on anything before, and he was very good.
This entry should really be called 'Return of the Comedy Panel Quizzes', seeing as 'QI' and 'Would I Lie To You' are also back. These are my Big Three nowadays. 'WILTY' was great - hilarity ensued - although I was a little disappointed that Rebecca Front hardly said anything. 'QI' was also brilliant - it looked like Stephen Fry and Alan Davies both had different haircuts, or was it just me? - and while I love Lee Mack on 'WILTY', I don't love him on 'QI', and I'm not the biggest fan of Sandi Toksvig, but it was still enjoyable.
