I'm doing a catch-up on everything I've missed (going away for three days means no internet for three days), and I've found bad news and good news.
- The Bad
Noel Fielding's
new programme is hitting E4 sometime this Autumn. Thankfully, I will be in France and won't have access. Even the title rubs me the wrong way. I mean 'Luxury Comedy'? In what way is this going to be any more luxurious than any other sort of sketch show? In related news, Buzzcocks is set to
continue without a permanent host. Why you no hire David O'Doherty, BBC? WHY?! Maybe it's time Buzzcocks was just decomissioned and left to die a not-so-graceful death.
- The Good
'Mock The Week' is back on Thursday (with new regular Chris Addison, is everyone cheering? :D), and 'QI' is back on Friday (YAY!). Speaking of the lovely Chris Addison, '
Show and Tell' will also be broadcast on E4 this autumn (to balance out the Fielding, presumably). Also 'Argumental' is
being brought back, with Sean Lock as host and Seann Walsh and Robert Webb as the regular team captains. DOES IT GET ANY BETTER?
Sorry about the caps lock, everyone.
