"Gifts" by Ursula Le Guin [Annals of the Western Shore trilogy, book 1]

So it was... ok? But I have been reading things like "Solitude" and "The Matter of Seggri", which are short stories that she wrote years ago so forgive me if I'm a little disappointed at the lack of depth in this.
