So I'm annoyed right now because I have two papers due within the next two weeks and I don't want to write either of them. Worse than that -- they're English papers, and I don't want to write them

Heh, okay, so I'm not the only one. I'm doing okay. Liking 45A, even though I don't have a paper topic at all yet. I'm taking English 117S also and not liking it as much...it's not hard but there's no inspiringly great lecturing going on -- Altieri is no Goldsmith. How're things with you?

Yeah, I definitely do this too, complaining for the sake of complaining because somehow it makes it better. Sometimes it bugs people who don't get that I don't really mean it, not really.

I know a few people who just sort of wallow in the complaining, though, and that's no good.
