Day Five--Skagway
A truly beautiful day. The sun was shining all day. It was a bit cool in the morning, especially in the shade, but soon warmed up. (This is extremely rare. Skagway averages 10 sunny days per year.) Skagway was a gateway to the Yukon gold fields in the late 1890s. Nowadays it's a tiny (<900) town surviving on the tourist trade.
