This is one of the few times where doing something stupid has had a beneficial effect

Last night were the auditions for some short drama productions at the college. I'm not a big drama person, but I do enjoy performing as long as someone else wrote the script. So I thought I'd go along and try out - we're performing in about three weeks, so it's not a huge commitment ( Read more... )

It's alright, after having an ice pack on it for a while it was nothing more than slightly sore. I took a panadol to kill the headache and slept the rest of it off. (Though I did check my pupil dilation first... :P)

It's probably more fun for people who like improv. I, as it happens, don't. There were some very amusing acts, though.

Don't worry, I don't normally do things that stupid. I was just following the age-old tradition - the show must go on, and all. Good thing that this show was only about a minute, though, otherwise I might not have been able to manage it ( ... )

DDDD8

My brother did a similar thing during one-acts night -there was a scene in which someone levitated him and he fell on his back. And he did. Hitting his head in the process. So bruised back and headache for that performance...

Still, the concept of the skit sounds amusing.

It's alright, I'm fine. Really. It just hurt quite a bit at the time.

There were some very funny acts. I'm just not very fond of improv. ^^;;

As the only of three children to not pursue plays/one acts/drama for all of high school, I'm with you there.

Hey, you. How're you doing? In general, also.

You did check to make sure you didn't do any major damage? I have a friend who hit her head her first month at college and managed to detach both her retinas.

I'm just worried about you, though. Don't panic or anything.

Talk to you soon.

What happened to wanting to be around when I moved in? :P I'm fine, both with regards to my head and otherwise. (I'm still a little tender around the area I hit - left temple - but I'm not bruised, I don't have a headache and pupil dilation was normal even on the night, so I'm 99.99 percent sure I haven't done myself major injury ( ... )
