Last night were the auditions for some short drama productions at the college. I'm not a big drama person, but I do enjoy performing as long as someone else wrote the script. LarxeneLarxene is automatically awesome to me because she's the only girl in the Organization. She's doubly so because she's actually, genuinely kickass, which is not (in my opinion) a very common thing in Square girls. There is something funny in the coincidence that I used my awarded gift voucher to buy an album of Michael Jackson. I swear I wasn't thinking about that when I bought it.

It's hard to be morose when you have new music. Even when you can't write.
EDIT: OK, you guys can laugh at me now. I never knew that the song 'ABC' was done by the Jackson 5.

Finale was tonight! I might do a proper reflection on everything tomorrow (it's way too late to do something like that tonight). The drama teacher called up all the Year 12 students and made mini-speeches about us and our contributions, so I got a card, a gift voucher, and acknowledgment for doing the performances even though I've been sick.

This is possibly the worst time to get sick -- especially with the 'flu. The next three nights are going to be...interesting. I hope that my throat holds up under the singing. And that I can concentrate enough to remember my cues.

Well, that could have gone better.

But it also could have gone worse.

So, I guess I can't really complain.

High heels are up there in the 'most insidious things known to the human race' list.

Tomorrow is our first performance. Here's hoping that people either remember all their lines or are good ad-libbers!
