I wonder that too though--why do students bother going to lecture if they're not going to bother listening to the lecture? ...Or maybe y'all are just more adept at multitasking than I am?

Professor obviously forgot the rule about only asking questions of your students that you already know the answer to. When I was attending college lectures, laptops were still in the $10K and up price catagory. I made do with writing notes about other things during the boring parts of the lectures. Especially the professors who were just regurgitating their course notes mixed with chunks of the textbook. Both of which I had on the first day of class. *feh*
