I Must Be Losing My Head

Aug 26, 2008 23:36

I think I'm going crazy at the moment. I'm seriously thinking of seeing bands that I don't like musically for the hell of it. I mean, the tickets are only $20 for most of the shows so it's not like I'm paying an arm and a leg for them. Still, it is odd to attend a show on the premise of staring at the band members and not singing the songs. Weird ( Read more... )

Yeah BSB is a guilty pleasure. It's not my fault they have catchy songs ;)

Yeah Edguy opened for Dragonforce when I saw them in Leeds, UK in 2006. Their fans suck harder than all of the bands I've ever seen. They had no respect for anyone which pisses me off more than anything. Then again, most young fans are idiots in general. Damn, I'm starting to sound like my mom O_O

I haven't listened to BSB in ages, but I suppose that, if given the chance, I'd see them live, if only for the nostalgia. :D

Nightwish/Sonata Arctica - 9/9
I envy you. Nightwish is coming to Argentina, but I had to decide between them and Duran Duran, and well... DD won. XD Besides, I'm hoping Edguy will come down here at one point in this tour, so I have to save money for that as well, so Nightwish is definitely out of the equation.

Personally I'd skip Nightwish for Duran Duran any day. They were the first group that I ever fell in love with in 1981. Too bad their tickets were a whopping $150 a piece when they came to Seattle last. There are only a handful of bands that I would ever pay that much money to see and they aren't one of them. Such is life.

Believe me, going to see DD's show isn't exactly cheap for me. They play in Buenos Aires, so that means transportation, tickets and I'm still debating whether to stay at a hotel for a night there or not. It's a lot of money, but what the hell... it's one of the bands I'd do such an effort for. :) If Edguy decides to visit South America (well, Argentina to be precise :P), I'd do the same. Let's hope they do. ;)

I'm lucky with Edguy because they consistently play Seattle on every tour since the Hellfire one in 2005. Same goes with Blind Guardian.

There's only certain bands *cough*Gamma Ray*cough* cough*Helloween*cough* that I have to travel to see or never see during their tours. I think this year's show in October will be the only one in Seattle for a while unless I get lucky again. That's why I traveled all the way to Japan to see them in February. I didn't want to miss out on the chance to see them together and rely on them coming to Seattle.

That is quite the formidable list! I am all but green with jealousy. Though I'm not a huge fan of BRMC's or CoB's music, it would still be worth it to hear live music, and see the show. Fantastic eye candy!

I really envy you Helloween/Gamma Ray. Sure, the year I decide I *have* see them, they don't come anywhere near me. Actually, I don't think they've been to Colorado in several years. Sigh.

Great shows and I'm sure it'll be worth it!

*hugs*

Yeah the Helloween/Gamma Ray tour is totally neglecting the mid-west and northern part of the west side. Sorry about that :(

Sigh, Nightwish will be two hours from me on the 2nd and four on the 4th, and I can't go to either because a) I can't drive, b) no one to go with and c) there is no one to cover for me at work. So you're more than welcome to check them out on my behalf, haha.
