Our neighbor's house got broken into today.  The burglar(s) kicked in the back door and went through every room in the house, but only took a laptop.  Another neighbor noticed a suspicious car and took down the license plate, though, so hopefully something good will come of it.  I was already frustrated from school-type stuff and had just started

Yesterday I left the house last and I thought to myself that I should close the blinds to the sliding glass door in back, but I didn't. I bet you they took one look at Monkey, who I'm sure was sitting there somberly shaking his head meaning something like "move along, bitch, not this house, not today", and decided against trying our house.
