Sunday, part 1

Could tomorrow be Sunday, Part 2? Please? I'm not ready for Josh to go back to Chicago, not ready to get the week started, not ready for Monday. The week ahead is very busy and right now sleeping through it seems to be the only option that makes sense ( Read more... )

Just an opinion on the Wii. If I had kids and they wanted a console I would get them a Wii. A few reasons being that it's not the standard sit on couch and barely move for hours on end thing. Having had about 3 hours to sit down with the Wii I must say after the first 20 minutes of playing I was standing up and sweating my tubby butt off. It's also 100x better than the other consoles at hand eye coordination. It is a kid based system with quite a few unique games. it would be a good investment for days when it's raining, cold, or whatever the case may be. It's also fun for all so you might be able to play along side them ( ... )

Just imagine the little tears when they find out Santa doesn't like them enough

Scary thing is that is EXACTLY what will happen... and damn you for making that mental image pop up! ;)

oh, we're having the same "drama" here from David..! He really wants a Wii too, and is going to ask Santa for it. So... Suso and I are still thinking about it...! I just feel like "oh great, ANOTHER game thingy..."... but on the other hand, it's true that it¡s a more physical thing, gets people moving! And Suso likes the idea of having one... so... we'll see...!

I guess this is a school thing? I'm not sure where all my kids have even seen or heard of it otherwise!

They play games already-- board games, computer games, DS games, Dreamcast games (yes, we still have that!). I think they have just heard about this at school and think it's super-fabulous-amazing-WOOO! They've never played one before, and I think they'll be disappointed. Dunno. How'd Kayla do while she was there?

They do have an electronics experiment kit... and a physics experiment book, several science experiment books and science experiment kits of various flavors... not to mention eleventybillion toys that they don't play with. Because the most fun they have is pretending to BE the game characters or the dinosaurs or the what-have-yous. Oh, and they are way into building Rube Goldberg machines that rarely work. :) Sigh. Why do I feel the guilt about saying NO? /ramble
